Took Nclex-Rn yesterday..shut off at 84..

Hello everyone

I took my nclex RN exam yesterday and it cut off at 84 ..

I had 10 sata,Only 1 calculation and 5-7 med questions lot of med surg,priority questions,1 or 2 delegation, 2 ecg ,1 picture question..:confused:

I have been browsing this site to find anybody who got 84 questions and passed..feeling really down:cry:

It was my retake I've failed it once and last time my test shut off at 75 so that means I failed miserably..This time when MY TEST didn't stop at 75 and I got #76 I was like Okay may be I am not doing that bad I still have a chance I got myself together and pay extra attention to the questions and I hit 80 then 81..82..83..and it stopped at 84 I was like please give me few more..:/ so I just got 9 more questions from minimum 75 ...I know its silly to talk about number of questions but I can't stop thinking about it .What are my chances here..any Ideas..?:idea: If I FAILED WAS I CLOSE TO PASSING ?or CAN i pass with only 9 more questions ?

P.s I haven't tried PVT trick yet coz I am not in a good situation to handle that cc page shot I have no courage to do it I am preparing myself for the worse...:uhoh3:

i think you passed you should try the pvt...pass or fail youve done your best nothing to be ashamed or scared of..be proud instead..but personally i think you passed..84 is your lucky number

There is no way to tell with the number of questions whether you passed or not.... Please just breath.. If you passed you have put yourself through this for no reason, if you did not then really try to find your weak area and focus on it. You can fail if you are too weak in just ONE area so please don't beat yourself up... what are you doing to study? I say QUESTIONS QUESTIONS QUESTIONS!!!!!

my friend just took it and she got 80 another got 90 and they both passed so do the trick we all did it it really made us feel so much better!!

You guys are Right I should do PVT :)I am preparing myself hopefully I'll be able to do it in next few hours..The reason I am so scared to do PVT is my family has lot of expectations from me this time my mom kept saying "You are passing this time" I can't imagine telling them that I haven't they have really high hopes from me..I am just being too emotional here but that's how I am feeling right now..:scrying:

And I am in CA how long it will take to see my name on BRN website IF i HAVE PASSED?

You have every right to feel emotional about it. I think looking at PVT will help ease your mind either way. But I too understand not checking... I've not taken the NCLEX yet but wish I didn't know about PVT but I will drive myself NUTS if I don't do it after taking the exam. You do what is best for you. :) I will cross my fingers and toes.

lets say 1 wk max for ca bon to put it up :D but i guess its much longer so try PVT. if u fail pfft just study again for 45days and ure ready. and if u pass lets celebrate! its a good news and ull b boosting my spirit up and giving me more reason to pass on my 2nd take :D
