Hi all,
First and foremost I have to stay this is such an amazing website! I have been on this website reading everyones stories of success and I decided that after I took the NCLEX today I will share my story and tips.
So today, July 3rd, I took the NCLEX-RN in nyc at 2:00. I was so nervous and I soon as the test started I thought my heart going to beat out of my chest lol. Some of the questions I definetly knew off the bat because I prepared with Kaplan. Others I could narrow it down to two answer choices and eliminate from there. All in all the test was not easy but not difficult. I had close to 10-15 maybe SATA (they were back to back lol), no math, med-surg, immunization, some priority, lots of health teachings. As soon as I got to 74.. I said to myself its going to stop at 75... and it did!! Im doing the PVT trick and im getting the good pop!
My advice: BREATH!! Do not doubt yourself one bit!! Take your time but dont dwell for too long. Go with what you know!!! If you need any tips on how I prepared please reply back to this post!!
Congrats to all passers and good luck to all that are taking the NCLEX soon!!

congratulations!
Thank you!! My study plan:
I graduated in May. Stuided the whole month of June. For 2 weeks I looked over Saunders Comprehensive review book for content. (this was helpful!) I then would do the questions in the book and on the CD-ROM. A week after I used the Kaplan-RN course book and reviewed the medications and everyday I would do a different chapter (i.e cardio meds, resp meds...) saunders also has a medication chapter as well. I finally did a Kaplan review course and then I had one week after that to do all the Q-trainers and Qbanks. Kaplan hands down was great!! the questions were similar to the NCLEX.My scores: readiness: 54% diagnostic: 66% Qt1:57 qt2:77 qt3:62 qt4:64 qt5:64 qt6:72 qt7:71.Averaged 60% in Q-banks. The most important thing is to always go over the rationales! right or wrong! and if your not using kaplan then make sure you do as many questions as possible. The topics become very familar after a while. In terms of infection control most of the diseases are on it but please please go over that packet and memorize that mneonmic!! it was very helpful!! GOOD LUCK!!

Congratulations! Thank you for the tips! I have mine on Friday at 2... I can't wait for this to be over! I did Kaplan as well. I have very similar scores to you. That makes me feel good! I have 2 days left. Any recommendations as to what I should study? I have completed the entire Q bank (66% average), finished the questions trainers... every Kaplan has to offer! I do have Saunders 5th edition, but havent studied it all that much. Any ideas as to how I should spend the next 48 hours? THANKS! And CONGRATS again!
@Rhody34 you will definetly be fine! u are more then ready especially sinced u finished ur all ur kaplan questions. You will be suprised at how similar kaplan is to nclex. I would definetly continue to do some questions (maybe 50 questions or so) tommorow from saunders just for some practice since u compeleted ur kaplan questions. Review some last minute lab values only if u need 2. and the day before the exam NO questions! let everything settle so you can mentally prepare yourself! take that day to relax! u deserve it! good luck let me know how it goes!

I took NCLEX today too. As far as diseases, there was one particular disease that I had about 3 or 4 questions on that one but not a whole lot on diseases in general. And it wasn't one we learned about in school. Luckily, I knew it from practice questions I've done.
