ive looked around my area (metrodetroit) and none of them offer training for anythinh.its really frustratiing

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this but I have taken the nclexrn 3 times already. I graduated 2011 and ever since then I have only been reviewing for nclex. After failing for the third time last may 6, I decided to start looking for a job. I havent received any replies from the hospitals and facilities that I have applied. Im thinking of maybe taking a training just so that I can start working at a hospital. What I have in mind so far is ECG/EKG technician or Patient Care Technician.Do you guys have any advice about training for ECG/EKG technician? like online or live class? and also is there ANY OTHER job/ training that I can take so I can start working in a hospital. Thank you

how do you become a ekg/ecg technician.i have been searching online but i cant find an accredited school to become an ecg tech.

I wonder where can u get ekg training ? and for how long

btw, i have an interview this week for cook position and barback position. i know its not in medical field but its a job and their the ones who responded to my application. unlike those hospitals that i applied to, turned in 100 applications to different positions and all i get is an automated reply thru mail stating that im not qualified or their interested on other applicants... if i get the cook or barback job it would be a great part time job while im studying for nclex pn

whsat do you mean alf and challenge the test. when i applied i just put that im bs nursing graduate and i no license.

both of you guys make a strong point. i was also contemplating before if i should put im a nursing graduate. when i first applied i put i was graduate of nursing and only got one job interview, it was for a transporter. i never got the job after thr interview.. now i revised my resume and put 'currently studying nursing' and im still waiting for a call back.. its been two weeks now since i started applying..

So just to clarify on both of your responses.. is the training paid or not? I dont mind paying the company back once i started working. As long i get trained and be stable at that job. Im really getting desperate. Right now, Im waiting for my att for my nclexpn and job hunting at the same time.Im looking for a job just so that I would have a diversional activity. Ive been out of school for 2 years now and ever since Ive been reviewing and reviewing. I dont think I can go back to that same set up when my life is basically library-home, home- library.I need to get my mind busy and I really wish someone would just hire me.I even applied at malls and restaurants.

THank you for this information..I have checked the freesenius and davita websites. I cant find anywhere in there where they will give free trainings. I did apply on their PCT positions. Im gonna search for more dialysis centers here in Michigan and see if they offer free training. I have been selling myself.I beefed up my resume, embellished it and everything and yet I still don't get a call or anything.I must have applied at all the hospitals in metro-detroit area.All the possible positions. Im still crossing my fingers and hope that one of them call me. At least give me an interview or something. Thanks again

i wonder what hospital offer that training here in michigan... im dying to get a job anywhere. i must have applied at 50 different jobs since last week. craigslist. hospital websites .. everywhere. hopefully theyll call this week. really desperate

like dialysis tech? does that require training?
