Took NCLEX-PN today...

Well I took the NCLEX-PN today. I sure don't feel like I did very good. I got 85 questions...took me about 65-75 minutes. I guess I did really good or really bad since I only got 85 questions. I know i got the last question right but I know that doesn't mean anything. I honestly don't feel that the questions were really easy or really hard. A few of them I thought were easy so I figured I missed the question before. However, a lot of them I don't think I really had a clue! I got a lot of priority questions and I think maybe that's why a lot of them I wasn't sure of because they all were probably right but just determining which one comes first. I tried using Maslow's, ABC's, and nursing process but I don't think it helped! I got 2 click all that apply questions, probably about 10 med questions which is unfortunate becomes pharmacology is not my thing and they were all on side effects or the action. I don't think I got one peds questions, a few OB, and no dosage calc. I really think I failed though...honestly I don't know what to think! Now comes the worst part...waiting. I sure hope I don't have to go through this again!!!

When I took mine it cut off at 85 too. I was so convinced that I failed so, so badly that I went home and started studying again. I passed and everyone I have talked to that only had 85 questions passed.

The vast , vast , vast majority of people that get 85..PASS! Do a search for "85" on this site and you will see. You have to basically not study to fail with 85...completly bomb the test.

I just took my exam 5-21-07 and now I'm justing waiting for my results. I'm praying that I pass it this time. The first time 205 Q's and failed, second time 85 Q's and failed. So I am one of the few who failed at 85. Now the 3rd time it stopped at 100 and now i wait.

The Nclex has really changed my life. I used to be so happy and I hope to be happy again. :) Just reading all the the posts makes me want to be an LVN even more and just to have that feeling of passing would just be a dream come true.

Hey I will pray for you. I just took my test on 5-23-07 and I am awaiting my results. I stay in mississippi and they do not participate in the quick results service. so right now i am about to lose my mind. all we can do is stay prayed up. my test cut off at 85 questions and they were not that hard and they were not that easy either. I am curioius to know that the time you took your test and it cut of at 85 did you feel that you had failed it or not and what type of questions were you given

I know how it feels. I just received my result and I passed but I had 205 questions. Seriously, I wasn't sure with mine either but I know the drugs and I only had 1 select all that apply question. I had everything.. as in everything from labs to procedures (almost the whole book of nursing), lots of prioritizing. I can't say "don't worry too much" coz I've there but if u can try to relax. I just took the N-clex P.N. today it cut at 85 and 2 hours honestly am stress out thinking if i pass or fail.. But i heard from other nurses that if u cut at 85 most likely you have pass. I hope so i really need my licence..

Thanks for the encouragement i took my N-clex P.N. today 8/16/07 and it cut off at 85 i am praying i have pass i will get the results tomorow.

Pete how do you know this? I took my N-clex P.N. on August 16 2007 and today i haven't receive results yet. Now this is in Newport News VA. They said i have to wait from 24 to 48 hours. Some of my friends have had their results in 24 hours.. Am scared the test cut off at 85 questions. But reading your post gave me hope.. Thanks!!!!

I am new around this forum but I took my NCLEX PN yesterday and it shut off at 85 too. I felt so incompetent though. My friends all ended in the 100-120 questions and all passed. Now I am real nervous, but maybe there is hope!! Should know monday!

Melkev WE Have to think positive i know........ Am very nervous, but i keep praying. Where are you at? i took mY N-clex in in Virginia.. And it cut also at 85 most of my friends think i pass but i don't know ..

I will find out on Monday God Willing. I took my N-clex P.N. ON Aug, 16, 2007 . I don't know yet if i pass or fail. Pray that i pass i went up to 85 questions. Most people tell me that i have pass i don't know why some people go up to 205 100 170 or 185 . All i know this wait is stressing me out more.
