Took my NCLEX-PN today. Started around 10:45 (my appt time was 11:00). Had difficulties ach time doing the palm scan. Got 3 or so questions in and had a lab value question. Wrote some notes on my board. A few more questions later, I teacher up to adjust my monitor and accidentally turned off my screen! I immediately tuned it back in and continued my test. It shut off at either 97 or 98 questions at around 12:36. I know for a fact I got my last question right. Got home at about 3:30 and tried the Pearson Vue trick. The main screen shows the status as "delivered successfully" and in bold re, it says something about the results not being available yet. I got a pop up that said "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold." Can anyone explain this to me? I have HORRIBLE test anxiety and this just isn't helping anything! :)

You have to go and actually try and re register for the NCLEX-PN under your existing PearsonVue account. If it doesn't let you register, then you've most likely passed. I just took mine Monday & did the trick & WASNT able to register...got the results yesterday and passed.

I meant wasn't able to register..

If it allows you to put in CC info and pay, you probably didn't pass.

Woops, sorry. I did go to register and that's when I got the pop up that says "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold," which I've told that is the not the correct "right" pop up. It does not allow me to enter CC info so I thought I was good to go! But then I was told it was the wrong pop up

yea you pretty much have to wait until the hold is lifted in order to get the good pop up or cc page. keep trying it should only be on hold for a few days

its going to continue to say that until they look over why was it trouble for u with the palm scanning and probably what happened with the screen situation, once they are satisfied with there "investigation" and sees everything is what it seems they will release the hold until then u are in the "neutral" zone can't say whether u passed or failed, but with my experience i knew for a fact i got my last one right and it was an alternate type question so i felt good about it, and i got home and got the hold message because of palm scan(they had problems with there's) but after 3 LONG days they lifted my hold and i got the good pop up...good luck to u!!

I took my NCLEX PN yesterday. My computer shut down after 85 questions. At first I thought it was a power surge, it was raining really hard, but the next thing I saw was the mandatory Pearson Vue survey! I almost got sick. I really wanted MORE questions!!!!!! I had no math, "hot spots", drag and drop, or audio responses that required you to identify lung/heart/bowel sounds. My test was strictly multiple choice, delegating, which patient to see first, and SATA (select all that apply). I had no less than 25!!!. My son googled "85 PN questions on NCLEX" and located allnurses.com. He called me and took me through the steps not telling me why (he knows me better than anyone). I logged in Pearson Vue and followed his instructions. When I entered my info and was about to hit the last "next" I screamed when I saw the, what I didn't know to be the "good prompt". From his end he stopped me and read verbatim what I was seeing. He then told me that means I passed. I still have 24 more hours to pay the 7.95 to actually see the quick results. I'll update when I know for sure.

So you passed!! I have the hold pop up and feeling miserable!! My teacher said any pop up is good! Is this true...?

So, i just took my NCLEX PN this morning and it stopped at 85 questions! I went out to my car and did the PVT and it has the "hold" pop up. I am freaking out! It is 7:30pm now and the status is still on "hold". Is this a good sign or bad or either??

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Neither. It means there was an incident and now your results are on hold pending audit.

I'm starting to think that there could be a new drinking game on the horizon. Anytime anyone posts the words "I'm freaking out" we should all enjoy some Chardonnay....until the next one.
