Today I'm thankful for...

Nurses General Nursing

Amidst all the venting posts, and in spirit of the holidays, I thought I would start an I'm thankful for post. Don't know if this will take off, but I thought it would be fun if each day people came and posted what they are thankful for that day. Being that it's the first, go for the month. Besides, once you get past the normal thankful for family, home, etc.. it might be fun to see what kind of creativity is used.

That said, I will start with a boring old Today I am thankful for even having a job. I may ***** and moan at times, and groan I do not want to go to work that day, but I am thankful to have that option.

Now your turn:)

I am thankful that you posted this. Last year I posted this same thing on facebook each and everyday in November until Thanksgiving. I did it just to go along with a friend but then found myself looking for something everyday to post. What a great way to to liven up your spirit.

Because of your post today, I have restarted this on my facebook wall and already have had 5 friends jump in to start their own list for the month. You have started a movement of thankfulness. Something we all easily forget. Thank you.

I am thankful for my wonderful family

I am thankful to not only have a job...but a job I actually like.

I am thankful for my allnurses friends that have provided years of advice, a kick in the pants now and then and lots of friendship along the way.

I'm doing the same thing on my FB for the entire month! Glad everyone thinks it's a good idea:heartbeat

I am thankful that my family and I are healthy (minus the bouts of pneumonia this year).

I am thankful that we live in a beautiful area with great weather. I am thankful to be working, I am thankful my husband will more than likely start respiratory therapy school next year.

Great idea! I just did the same. We can never be too thankful and many times we need to stop and realize just how much we have to be thankful for.

Today I am thankful to live in a country that has freedom of speech. I know sometimes I irritate people not only on this forum, but in my day to day life. I also know they understand that I dont mean to!! I will voice my opinion- because I can- an in doing so, sometimes I may make you laugh and sometimes I may put my foot in my mouth!! God bless America!

I am thankful that I am graduating in 5 weeks! I have had all sorts of roadblocks thrown at me during the last three years while in school and I have overcome each one of them. I am super proud of myself for making it through this program in spite of all my other struggles and with great grades (if I do say so myself). So yay me!

I am thankful for:

My family who are supportive, even of me living 300 miles away to work my dream job in a large, nationally recognized pediatric hospital.

My AMAZING job that I have been working toward and wishing for for years until now.

My boyfriend who is funny, encouraging, and driven while he works hard to make money in addition to finishing school.

You must have finally gotten enough cowbell if you aren't asking for more. I'm just plain thankful, it seems to be said all day. Oh yes, I'm thankful I passed ACLS recertification today.
