To Do List.: Before Fall Semester

Published

So what does everyone need/want to accomplish before fall semester starts?

Mine:

  • Finish deep cleaning the house (I might not have much time when school starts.. so I do spring cleaning at the end of the summer).
  • Read my graphing calculator for dummies book (once the calculator comes in the mail! )
  • get my books on the 15th.
  • read a little in every book. (I only have a week between when first classes start and the 15th but I am going to try to read the first chapter in every book)
  • sharpen all my pencils :D
  • and if I have enough money.. go buy some new clothes.

"My in-laws had our son for most of the weekend and I had all these plans of getting some things cleaned and sorted and ended up laying around reading most of the weekend and being lazy. I figured it will be awhile before I can do that again. "

I like this!!!

Peytons mom----

I just noticed you need your shots. Which ones? At my school we had to have 2 of the 3 hepB's before starting school. We only had a couple of months to do it, YIKES. But just wondering how that works out at your school? B/c shots one and two are one month apart.

  • Finish deep cleaning my apartment - I'm half done, woo!

  • Buy my 3 books that I'm required to purchase

  • Apply for daycare aid

  • Send in my loan deferment papers

  • Spend quality time with my daughter before school starts

  • Go to orientation (held on the first day of class, ugh) - order uniform, stethoscope, shoes, etc.

  • Get school supplies

I have just two weeks left before school starts. I have been excited all summer, but now I'm getting nervous! I can't wait, though. :D

Our school starts on the 17th. What I still have to do this week:

  • take the kids to their doc/dentist appts
  • straighten up the house
  • do a big grocery shopping for crockpot meals
  • take a long nap on Sunday since I'm sure it will be the last for a while

Good luck to everyone starting soon!!

We should start a nursing student recipe thread...you know, for all those meals we pre-make and freeze.

I made great lasagna and froze individual portions with a Food Saver. Bloody happy to use the thing.

DolceVita-

I was going to start one today!!! Can you believe it? We were thinking the exact same thing.

My list involves all of the things I won't have much time for in a couple of weeks:

Read as many books as possible.

Stay up late.

Watch all the goodies I've recorded on my DVR.

Cross stitch while watching TV. I'm working on this huge sampler.

Cook semi-complicated and time consuming meals.

My fall semester starts a week from today :( I have list of things I need to do and I don't think I'll be able to get everything done. My friend's Dad died Saturday night so now I have a funeral to go to and that will cut into my time. God, that sounded insensitive. It wasn't meant to be.

--Deep clean the house.

--Set off foggers. Darn animals brought in fleas.

--Buy my son some back to school clothes and shoes.

--Declutter my house. I've been attempting for 4 years now.

--Go on a caving trip. I won't have time again until October when we go to MVOR.

That is a really good idea.

I agree. If nobody has started a thread yet, I'll do it.

should get tipsy at least once! get that stress out!

This thread reminds me, I need to buy a new bookbag! Maybe a messenger bag with compartments and roomy enough to fit my laptop in.
