My secretary is still compiling the absence list, and multiple teachers have stopped down because they have had 7+ students absent from each class.
I have had 22 visits already. Last week I had 25-30 for the whole day.
The kids who are staying in class are mostly sneezy, coughy, tissue using kids.
We are pushing hand washing, but really. I wish my FF would stay out of here, all I need is for them to get sick.

My fear, when my FF are really sick, it validates their coming to see me, or worse, I may miss something.

For sure!! I've burned myself with dismissing them back to class and they end up with a raging fever; as I wipe the egg off my face when calling their parent.

Two weeks ago a very dramatic FF told me his stomach hurt. Put on all the dramatics. I told him to eat a few crackers then go back to class. Before finishing his crackers he projectile vomits all over my desk. I guess his stomach really did hurt for once.

No reason for egg. Fevers can develop quickly. I had a girl who wasn't feeling well but with no fever and no vomiting I had her head back to class to tough out the last couple hours. She returned a half hour later and was at 102.7!

Had 1st grade FF come in about 5 mins before lunch c/o stomach ache. I see this kiddo at least once a day, everyday. Temp normal, told her to eat lunch. She comes back 2 hours later-temp is 99.4, then 15 minutes later 100.4, then 102 when mom got here! Teacher says "I can't believe you sent her back with a fever" ummm...She was afebrile when I sent her back and you've sent her to me a bazillion times this year!

LOL, I thought you meant LICE SEASON!
But yes, so many sick with flu like symptoms and I am so sick and tired of hearing "well I gave her tylenol before school and she was fine!". Yeah, you do know that it wears off, right? And it is not a cure!!
Ugh, crazy people!!

I had a mom tell me that her child couldn't have a fever (it was 101.8) because she put OnGuard, an essential oil blend, on her this morning...
Obviously, your thermometer is broken...
