TIPS/Info for passing NCLEX

hi im an RN in my own country but my fiance is a US citizen, we are planning to get married,and if God permits that to happen,we are planning that im going to move in his place in North Carolina so we can live together and start a family our own family,but im having some concerns because I still want to work as a nurse and continue this profession that i love, and i dont know exactly what are the things i need to accomplish, i already do some research to be able to qualify to work as a nurse in North Carolina and i just find out that i need to take CGFNS before taking the NCLEX because it is one of the requirements. Do you think i can make it? pls give me some advise how to accomplish things much easier in possible way. My fiance is very supportive to the things I want to do but thats why i want to do my best to be able to pass those exams, so he will feel that i appreciated his effort and make him proud. PLEASE HELP!

Why not ? all you need is determination and hard work. Sitting for Cgfns will even enhance your score if you take nclex immediately after you pass cgfsns. Other way is to take nclex in another state if you can be allowed to endorse. All the best

to graceybinas...

i feel you. my man is in the states,working and very supportive to my goals but same as you, i wanted to pass the nclex not just for the future but also in return to all his efforts flying back and forth from the states to PI just for us to spend time together. well, his not my fiance yet. we taked about how easy he can take me in the states without taking any exams and i definitely wud love that (its hard being far from ur love) but he knows, i feel i wanted to pass the nclex first and then follow him in the states,like somehow my gift to him. but yeah, still its all in God's plan. my advice for you is to take d cg here in PI, get a visa screen then take the nclex in the u.s. im filipina too but i been in state for a long years. graduated in the philippine.

my advise, you dont need to take cgfns esp. you have fiannce here. cgfns is only for nurses who wants to work in the us and its one of the requirement in the us embassy or for immigration purposes. b'coz if you pass your nclex you can endorse it any where in the us. im from colorado and we have alot of filipino nurses here they just endorse their license here. but some of them they hired fr. philippines have cgfns . but if you have fiancess tell him to marry you and bring you here. good luck....let me know if you need more information. okay?

I heard someone say get the saunders book and just do the tests and the weak areas go back and read that chapter and get your stuff together..I donno tho >

im so glad to meet filipina here, thanks for the advice,my fiance and i planning to get married, but my concern now is it possible for me took the nclex without cgfns, our original plan is that i will take the nclex while im still here in philippines then follow him to us after i pass the nclex, how will i apply for nclex directly if the board of nursing of the state where my fiance lives require cgfns, is it possiblwe for me to apply nclex directly to pearsonvue. we just want to accomplish things here in phil, before arriving us.

thank you so much for the reply to my post, yeah your very right its really hard to be apart to the one you love, all we can do now is keep the good faith to each other. i love my fiance so much and im sure you also do. i really cant wait to be with him soon, good luck and GOD BLESS for the both of us, i know in GOD's time we will achive our goal to be with the one we love at the same time to be a US RN.
