  1. hey I wanna know!! What's it like? =D What kind of patients do you usually see? Are there many chinldren there? what's the nurse to patient ratio? What's the Pay like? ??!?!?! hehehehe
  2. Well..that might be the route I will have to go..I'll try to get in through Norton if Kosair dosen't take me right off..thanks a lot =)
  3. Well..I thought of that too, that is my dream, I am just afraid that with just 14 months of experience, they may be slow to hire me =(
  4. Hello everyone in Kentucky :) I'm nurse who has been practicing in the Fayetteville Area for a little over a year now and I am relocating to louisville kentucky later toward the end of the year..does anyone have advice as to where I should work? I am currently an ADN and I really have my sights set on Norton at the moment... My experience is primarily Med Surg but I'd love a chance to work Pediatrics. The whole Moving and working thing is new to me but I know it can be done..can anyone please help? :confused:You guys were so great to me during NCLEX, and because of your support I was able to pass on the first try, please help again!
  5. NC, and ER! Kamesenin(turtle hermit)
  6. spend today RELAXING! cramming the day before can be dangerous..all those missed questions wear on your confidence..at least they did for me
  7. A lot of ppl cannot afford kaplan(my job paid for mine) if you can get it by all means do..it really works if you stick to their plan, they have a lot of nursing content but really GREAT strategies. if not, I would strongly reccomend this ( http://www.learningext.com/products/pnreview/pnreview.asp ) It's the learning extension from the BON and I SWEAR one of my questions came RIGHT off it. While doing the diagnostic test keep a sheet of paper by you and write what you feel you are weak at and review that stuff..a lot of people (myself included) put off their weak points, don't be like us haha Next thing is if you are getting the course book (or any drug book) be sure to just flip through the drug section each day..I would focus on LITHIUM, DIGOXIN and INSULIN (by name) but please be sure to look through all of your psych drugs, diabetic drugs and ANTI-CANCER drugs!! Try and committ to reading at least 100?'s a day...when you walk into the test you want at least 2000 under your belt (I had 3500) and the most important thing, is to believe in yourself..that's what I think means the most ^^ OH and the day before the test plz don't cram =P Take that day off and relax, it lets facts sink into your brain and makes you fresh for the fight come nclex day. oh! and never EVER throw a dart (pick from 4 answers) always try to get at least one of them out of the way. I have a lot more but ^^;; I guess pm if you want to hear it? Good luck!
  8. Oh hey also if you did your test through pearson vue (anyone reading this) I got my test results EXACTLY 48 hours and 15 minutes after my final click in the test (yes I am a nerd I timed it) that's all =)
  9. WOOHOO! go heather!!! Guess what..I passed too!!! since we got it in 75?'s I guess that makes us badass...haha =P
  10. Haha I know this is nerdy =P But good luck to everyone else I forgot too! ^^;;
