I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hey all,
I talked to the evaluator in charge of my case on wednesday and she said that documents were still missing, including my transcript but today a license number is posted on breeze, stating it is current and valid until ****** . The same info is posted on Nursys, that's actually how I found out.
Does that mean that I actually have a CA license and am able to apply for jobs?
*too scared to be excited*
Unfortunately yes. There was someone in this forum who's license was posted and in 5 days the board asked her to returned the license.
Ok so then here is my situation. I applied for licensing by endorsement. Licensed in 2 other states.
I first paid a service that would send authentified transcripts to the board and I was told that wasn't accepted. Last week while on the phone with my evaluator she told me she was still missing transcripts. In the meantime (24 hrs) she received additional transcripts but not the main ones she first refused. These haven't been sent in from my home country's nursing school yet. However 24 hrs after that conversation, my license was posted. I called the board to double check and they confirmed they it was my permanent license and that I should get it in the mail in 2 weeks.
Should I "ask questions" or just let it be, wait a month or 2 and then if nothing changes start planning a move and job search?
Depends on a few a factors. It takes about 2 days or so for them to cash the money order and register you in the system so you can check your application status. But the whole timeline is really up in the air as far as how long they take. They do tend to take a while. I think you can check their website to see what applications they are currently processing (i.e. applications from May). Hope this helps.
This is an old thread but hopefully someone could use my information now. I'm transferring as an RN from New York and went personally to the Sacramento Board of Nursing office with all required paper work (including live scan form) on June 8th.. they cashed my checks June 13th and I received my California nursing license today, July 20th. In all, about 5 weeks time.

This happened to me - and it never "reopened." I just kept checking compulsively and about two weeks later, my license appeared.
