Thank you for your reply! I do have ACLS and moderate sedation cert isn't required. However, I do have a competency test to take before I can sedate on my own. I guess since I haven't done it, I'm anxious - and being new in a not so awesome team adds stress. Anyway, I will look more into it before I start my intra-op rotation. I just don't feel confident.

Hi I can't state if BSN is going to be mandatory for getting a job by 2020. They have been saying that before I even started nursing school. Hospitals do prefer BSN ready nurses since they are trying to get magnet status, but you will still be able to get a job (may not be your dream unit). Hours for class were usually 8 hrs/day from 0800-1600. Sometimes earlier depending if you are taking other classes. I think we had one day of the week where we didn't have any classes (during first semester) and it was reserved for people taking pre-requisites. After that you're on campus almost every day if you're not in clinicals (2-3 days a week). It just depends where you're at in the program. If you have any more specific questions, please message. Hi! I graduated from LSN in 2013. Since then I have gotten my BSN but regardless I got a job right away out of school. In regards to the program, I have nothing to compare it to, but I will tell you that it is intense. We start clinicals within a few weeks. The school is outdated and they don't have fancy simulation dummies, but all your hands on experience is in clinicals (make the most of it)! Due to the intensity of the program, we lost a lot of classmates throughout the courses. I would recommend that all your pre-reqs are done before you start the program. However I did have a few classmates that took them simultaneously - they were stressed but they passed. Due to the nature of your living situation, I will say it will pose a challenge. Is it worth it? That's up to you! Keep in mind you will have to drive to various clinical sites then sometimes drive back to school for post meeting or sometimes for class (depending on the rotation). I finally got my license! Method: Online, Application by Endorsement Fingerprinting: Livescan (flew from Missouri to CA) Date Submitted: 07/09/17 Temporary: Yes Approximate processing time per BON: 8-10 weeks for temporary Received license #: 09/22/17, total of 10 weeks & 5 days The funny thing is, they still haven't processed my temporary license and it still says "pending" but I now have my RN license # on the upper right hand screen of the Breeze website. Be patient, my friends!!

Yesterday I emailed them to check my status since I was unable to get a hold of anyone on the phone. Today I went on breeze and saw that under "View Applicatipn Status" it now has my RN Endorsement AND RN Endorsement with temporary license application status. Both still say pending - open. I did not have the temporary license application status there before. So I hope this is a good sign? Did you sign up for a temp? I have a job lined up so I'm really hoping this would hurry! Hello, I'm still in the process of waiting for my CA RN temporary and permanent license by endoresement. I'll be moving there from St. Louis in a couple weeks. We are primarily moving for my husband's job but unfortunate for me, I won't be able to work as an RN. What do you guys recommend for a job while waiting for licensure? Or what are you currently doing as a source of income? Is it in the medical field? What am I allowed to do patient care wise? Thanks so much in advance!!!!

Yes and don't forget to send out through mail the actual online form with passport picture and a copy of the Livescan request with their signature. Apparently just uploading and attaching it online is incomplete! I found that out through reading this thread!! Wishing us both luck!! When did you apply?
