I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Help!I sent paperwork in mid April. My breeze account showed my submission date as May 5th. My breeze account used to say "Pendig; open" until yesterday. Since yesterday, it doesnt show any status and says "no license information available" on top right corner of the page. I see a license number (not new, there has always been a number) and address change section is still available. But why no information anymore? I tried verifying my license to see if I got the Ca license, but no. I have been calling the bon since yesterday with no luck. I am getting worried. Has this happened to anyone? What may that possibly mean? I have been patiently waiting since April, and now all this.
That's what happened to my account when I received my license. I never had a license number in the upper right corner before that though. You can double check if it's really that your RN license went through without any fanfare (mine did - no email to alert me or anything) by doing a license verification by name on Breeze.
The best advice that I can give you it to call the BRN first thing in the morning when they open, I typically got through at about 9am Cali time after a 30 minute hold. Did you apply for a temporary license?
I didnt apply for a temporary license. I am not in a hurry to move to CA yet. I will call them in morning times and see.
Oh wait!!
I just checked breeze again after I typed above post to verify license again, and guess what? I was able to see license information this time. Looks like I am officially licensed in Ca as of tonight. I guess I kept on checking it today while my case was transitioning and I was being licensed. Yea, I got my license today 8/16. After 4 months of waiting, thank God!
did you find going in person was helpful? I have heard of people submitting everything in person and doing the livescan fingerprints just down the street and it speeds up the process? I have a residency contingent on me getting my license by October 10th which seems unlikely because I just mailed everything July 28th...
I am curious as well. I will be endorsing from out of state. I have family I could stay with in the Sacramento area, and am wondering if I should just fly down and take everything to them in person might help.
I have a target date of being licensed by November...but this process sounds horrific. Even the temp license route.
Yikes. Never seen anything like it.
Hi all! Congrats to everyone who's completed the journey and received their license. My breeze account logs my application in at may 24. I've already settled down here in Oxnard, Ca and my orientation starts monday! Is anyone interested in going with me to Sacramento to fight this battle in person? Msg or email me at 2679181179 or [email protected]. Good luck to everyone!
Im going to Sacramento on Friday Morning, if anyone wants me to check up on a license email me. Im happy to do it.
I would love to go with you, but I cannot afford a trip to Sacramento while I am unemployed due to the never-ending CA Board of Nursing delays. I have tried calling them multiple times a day and get the same automated answer every time. I have emailed them every day with no response. I have contacted the CA Governor Brown, State Assembly member Donald Wagner, Senator Moorlach, American Nurses Association, and California chapter of ANA with little success. They are holding us all hostage by not processing our applications. I have been a nurse for 20 years and have never experienced such a disorganized mess.
Sorry for my long rant. Just very frustrated as you all are and just want to work and be able to provide for my family.
