  1. Hey there's a better number to access! When I get home I'll type it in..
  2. Hi all! Congrats to everyone who's completed the journey and received their license. My breeze account logs my application in at may 24. I've already settled down here in Oxnard, Ca and my orientation starts monday! Is anyone interested in going with me to Sacramento to fight this battle in person? Msg or email me at 2679181179 or [email protected]. Good luck to everyone!
  3. Where are you located? I'm in Oxnard /Ventura right now. I'm willing to drive!
  4. I'm having the same issue because i am considering having to move back Philadelphia to work even t though I just got settled in CA.. I already delayed flying here for 3 weeks, thinking that was enough time, but it doesn't seem like it's getting anywhere. My application posted 5/24 and I've done everything I can think of.
  5. Omg! that gives me so much hope! I have been waiting and my start date has been rescheduled twice since July 5th and is August 8th now. I was hoping to drive there from Philadelphia this weekend, but also don't want to go too early and just spend what I haven't started making yet. Thank's for posting!
  6. Indeed it does. They even sign you on contract within that time frame assuming it will be done. I unfortunately fell for it. It has indeed been done before by 4 weeks! (I'm not as lucky) However, it's not a guarantee because no company does the actually processing and it's left in the hands of the board of nursing. They justify this because the BRN claims that their original "processing times" begin from when you send it in.. Of course, once they application package, they then say that the time only starts when they cash the check out. So that's days/weeks of mail time and cashing out the money, etc. My agency claims theirs is expedited because they first overnight ship you a application package with a guide and to do list. Fingerprints are done in your local town on their official card and the same application for Cali 's endorsement stuff. They have an overnight return box prepped for you to send everything completed AND encourage cash to be sent do avoid the waiting period of getting to it and cashing it in. Now, they have a liason to walk on your application directly to the BRN and pay the upfront. This is the majority of the speed. The liason comes to check on it when they are delayed and request it to be looked at ASAP (because usually, they have their applicants already contracted ).... So yep, deceiving claims huh?
  7. You got your license now? You applied in May though right?!
  8. I'm still stuck in Philadelphia! Haha, I've been staying at my parents house and would hate to leave and not get my license for weeks. At the same time however, I am considering going early to relax and just get there already. If so, id totally join!
  9. Thank you! I just sent my complaint in! They also say contacting the governor's office can help. I tried to call, but had to just email because of the busy lines.
  10. did you also apply for a temp?
  11. Hey! May you please link as to where it states this? I swear that it was 6-8 weeks when I first applied in late April, then a month or so ago it changed to 8-10 or 10-12 weeks! I can't seem to find where it is now though. Thanks!
  12. Ahhh! Congrats! I'm in the same situation as you were before. Can you pm me please? or email perhaps? [email protected]... Ha, I wonder if we have the same recruiter. Unfortunately, I don't have a job in the meanwhile and have had to already postpone for two weeks. My next start date is July 25, so that's 3 weeks no pay and I fear that it still won't be enough. What actions did you take? My information was completed and mailed to them in mid-april. However, the BRN didn't have it listed as submitted until MAY 24!!!! I called numerous times to the BRN, but either got hung up on, rejected calls which won't go through, or call reps which gave me no new information. I emailed the governor of Cali. Our liaison also is keeping me posted and still trying to get it expedited as originally promised. I also signed a contract without licensing in hand, almost bought my ticket from phila to cali and shipped my car (which they aren't covering) a week beforehand due to their confidence in me having everything ready by then. Good thing I didn't! I'm just so ready to work it's extremely frustrating. I have since decided to drive their with my brother, but he can't continue to be strung along pending this promised license. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  13. Hi there, I'm heading to St John's to work in July. It feels like a great place even though I too feel like the pay is low... Did you end up going?
  14. thank you so much for this! i have been searching and have so many failed attempts, until now! Now, i can simply study on this laptop. Truly appreciate you post!
  15. Hey All!!! wow, it's been a long while since i went on this site, but i needed to look up something. then i remembered how much this site helped me during the long waiting period of applications, acceptances, orientation, and up to the first day of school. i think i spent every day logging on more than 3xs.. but since then, it's been busy! I'm now in my second semester with Aria and taking the Nursing 111 class. but i wanted to see if there were any others who i could help in turn for all those who helped me. As i was studying, i wanted a break and so i searched around and i found this post. i can't read each page& post (well I could, but really shouldn't haha)... but if there's anyone with questions/concerns/etc, feel free to post here and i'd love to help any way i can (or for faster replies, email me: [email protected] since i check that often each day) good luck to everyone with your goals for nursing school and life in general! :)
