Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

Published

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

The timeframe for endorsement just jumped to 16-18 weeks!!!!!

Oh my gosh. I applied to endorse to California from NJ May 25th and it's now July 14 and still nothing. Now the time line is 16 to 18 weeks? í ½í¸¤

Holy cow, the processing times have been extended. I submitted my paperwork in mid April. I just hope to receive my license before the end of this year at least. It is so frustrating.

Hey! May you please link as to where it states this? I swear that it was 6-8 weeks when I first applied in late April, then a month or so ago it changed to 8-10 or 10-12 weeks! I can't seem to find where it is now though. Thanks!

did you also apply for a temp?

It changed to 16-18 weeks yesterday afternoon (July 13th). This morning when I checked again they had completely removed the estimated time.

I am waiting for my endorsement as well! What do you put on your applications for places when they ask for your license number? I have been reluctant to apply anywhere for fear I'll be automatically rejected without the LIC#....thank you!!!!

Now they've completely removed any timeframe estimate at all! I contacted the CA Dept of Consumer Affairs (oversees the CA BRN) today and the rep I spoke with (-----------------) suggested that everybody here having difficulty w/the BRN file complaints. With enough complaints, our situation will actually be looked at by the higher up officials to force the BRN to get their act together.

Thank you-I will pass this along. Maybe if the BON hired all of us to finish the paperwork and licensing issues we could get things back in order!

Hi you all sorry to hear about the long wait times, I applied June 27,2016 and I know the BRN has received all my required paperwork. When does the status change currently it says pending-Open. I had to send in for a temp license, some people here say that the temp license is showing up on the application status, mine is not how long until that will post?

So I applied to several jobs and they all rejected me because I don't have a CA RN license, how do I apply for RN jobs? Many of my friends from nursing school had jobs but I can understand they were not endorsing to other states. I know my application will take time especially since it will have to go through enforcement. Does anyone know if you are an LVN in CA if the RN endorsement will be faster? I lived here before and now Im coming back as an RN. I know the two boards are different but I don't know if its faster or not.

Thanks and good luck to all of you!

Hey there! How were you certain they received all of your paperwork? My Breeze says pending-open...and that is it. I have heard that sometimes it takes a while for the temp to show up, but I have no idea why! Sorry to hear about the job applications...I am in the same boat!Fingers crossed for all of us!!!!
