Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

Thank you for the information. When you say turned in all your documents, did you also include your official transcripts? The website says they must come directly from the schools but others seem to indicate they submitted them personally as part of their application packet (which would make me feel better as I would know they received them all and were not misfiled).

I gave them a copy of my transcript, college diploma, license from the Philippines and Canada and SIN card plus receipt of the Nursys license verification, license by endorsement application form , picture, live scan and $100 Cash. They still require transcript directly sent by my school from the Philippines.

I have two questions.

1. Do I have to mail the "Request for Transcript" form to the schools that I have attended, and have them return the form and my transcripts to the CA BON? Or can just go online to the schools website and have them sent directly to the BON with out the "Request for Transcript" form.

2. Do I need to have verification sent to the BON from the state (Colorado) I originally got my license in or just the state where my license is current (Hawaii)?

1. I remember my nursing school did not include that form with my transcript. They were actually clueless about what to do with it despite my explaining it. So California never got it with my transcript but it didn't cause a problem.

2. California I believe needs verification from all your licensed states. But I may be wrong as the only other state I was licensed in when I applied to California was New York. I'm now licensed in 6 states (travel nurse).

For those of you who have received a Cali license:

My status is still pending for both my license by endorsement and temp license on Breeze. I do see 2 different RN numbers (I'm assuming). I'm confused on if these are my license numbers, and why it's still pending if they posted the numbers already! Anyone have any experience with this?

So my application was received 4/1, and my check cashed 5/9. How soon should my stuff be available to see on BreEZe?

Also, should I be looking for updates under "License Notification Subscriptions?" I'm not exactly sure how BreEZe works.

Finished submitting my application online on 5/19 and turned in my temporary application in person on that day as well. Now I wait. Has anyone else submitted their application online? I read through the comments but now one said anything about doing it this way.

The online endorsement application is new. That's really nice they have that now. So can you submit transcripts online too?

yes on breeze you have to add your license. Sometimes you'll get an email to link them or you have to manually link them.

Yes your our temporary and permanent license numbers will be different. Just because the number is there does not mean you have that license yet.

You can't add transcripts online. They still have to be sent directly from the schools to the board, with the correct form (called the board directly to get this answer).

I have applied for a RN license in the state of CA. Knowing there is a 10 > 12 week wait, I paid the extra $50 for a Temporary License. Today I learned there is a 10 > 12 week wait for the Permanent as well as the Temporary License. This seems unethical. Has anyone had success obtaining licensure by making the trip to Sacramento?

It seems unethical to me as well. I also paid the extra $50 in hopes that the waiting period is shorter than stated. It also says that they are working on the "Current" applications that were submitted for the temporary license.

Hi everyone!

I am a licensed RN in WA state and have found this thread helpful. I mailed in my application packet April 14th. I was able to do Livescan fingerprinting since we were in CA a week prior. The check for my application fee was cashed May 5th. My family will be moving to CA and the children start school August 22. So we are waiting on the license so I can start applying for work and then get rental housing.

For those who have already received their CA licenses, did the Board send you an email stating that your license is now ACTIVE?

Also, does anyone have any experience with submitting job applications while the license is still pending, or employers generally pretty strict about having an active license before they would even consider your application?
