I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
I have a question. All these we are doing it is for "temporaey license", right?
Once we have a temp license, what do we have to do to have it permanent? I am concerned, because I am in no hurry to move to Ca. I am worried that a temp license will expire before I get to come there. Does it expire if we dont work in Ca within a certain timeframe, or what is the temporary- permanent license case here?

I applied for a permanent license... and the temporary license was only an option in case u need to work soon.
I would like to know how to endorse LPN license from CA to another state? The other state participates with nursys.com but said I need to submit the verification forms . I called CABRN 1800 number but lady said its for the RN and not LPN. I need help please. also livescan and transcripts I did at my school. do I need to ask them to send all those things to breeze or cabrn?

California has different boards of nursing for LVN and RNs; the LVN board is at Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians RN is at Board of Registered Nursing
I am just now starting the process of getting my CA license. I'm currently licensed in MO. I have a misdemeanor that was dismissed from 2006 (case was closed in 08). So part of my process involves getting court documents, arrest records, letters of rec. But I'm worried about the license being denied. Are they more lenient on licenses by endorsement with a criminal history? I went through all of this with the Missouri SBON, and it ended up being a non-issue and I received my RN without any restrictions. I just don't want to get denied and have to disclose that for the rest of my life too, ya know?
So I was just looking at processing times online (it looks like it's taking even longer and longer to get a temporary license), and I saw that you can now apply for Licensure by Endorsement online! I wish they had gotten this up before I submitted my application on April 1st.
I'm just so frustrated with how long this is taking. Is there any way to call and see where I stand on my application?
Hi guys, I am new to this site and would like to share my experience endorsing my New Mexico license to California. I find your inputs here very useful thus would like to give others an idea on how my journey went.
- I am a licensed registered nurse in the Philippines, New Mexico and Alberta, Canada.
- I was educated in the Philippines.
- I applied in person last March 1, 2016 at the CBRN office. Handed all the documents including live scan, paid $100 USD cash fee.
- I opened an account via the Breeze website which shows my account was created April 4, 2016
- I got my licensed today May 10, 2016. It took me 10 weeks in total.
Fyi and thanks.

I'm hoping someone on this thread can help me out with my question. The California Board of Nursing sent me a letter because I took two courses online, and they are asking me to have the schools send them extra documentation because they were online lab courses. I applied for my RN endorsement to California at the end of the summer because I have been dealing with issues in regards to meeting their lab requirement ever since(I had to take one over this winter). I'm beyond fed up and frustrated at this point and I just sent in a complaint about the California Board of Nursing. Does anyone know how long they take to respond and/or if it does any good? I saw a post earlier in this thread saying it helped, but I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this as well. Thanks!
