I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hello everyone! I just wanted to explain my experience with getting my license through endorsement. I sent my application out in April and they didn't cash my check until May 20th. It is possible to get a hold of someone, you just have to call first thing in the morning or around 4-4:30. They don't respond to emails. I was treated so poorly and rudely by these people every time I called just to confirm I had everything in! I reported it to the DCA and a manager got back with me and was even MORE rude. He stated that just because I paid for a temp doesn't mean they have to issue it and that it may take more than the 6-8 weeks. I was furious so I reported them again! The next day I got an email from a very nice lady and my license was issued that day! This organization is terrible!
And my IA to CA Endorsement experience goes a lil something like this...
4/22- mailed my application, fingerprint cards, requested transcripts from 5 schools to be sent, registered for Nursys...all done with USPS
tracking (verifies all delivery by 4/28).
5/14- personal check cashed and Breeze shows submission date of 5/8, shows open "missing educ history" and one of my colleges in suspense.
5/28- spoke to BRN states my fingerprint card was accepted.
6/5- following this forum starting to get worried because I didnt apply for temporary license and Im scheduled to start work 8-3. spoke to BRN, was told not to apply for it wouldnt make a difference.
6/23- spoke to very nice person at BRN, stated that I should apply for temporary license due to them being far behind. I sent my request and personal check that same day.
6/29- Breeze notes and deficiencies cleared, shows open
7/8- personal check clears for temporary license request
7/9- spoke to BRN states my file is complete all except my transcript information and she doesnt understand why my temporary license has not been submitted. She thought it would be a good idea to resend all my transcripts since it had been almost 11 weeks. I was put on a call back list that could take up to 10-15 days. I was not very happy with this information. I didnt want to file a complaint because I understand they are busy and behind. But the fact that my transcripts are assumed to be lost and I should just resend them for fun, I had just had enough. I submitted my complaint.
7/10- my temporary license appeared on Breeze!! Im not sure if this was just a coincidence or if my complaint is being investigated. Either way I am happy and ready to start my dream job! Im still going to stay on top of things January (expiration date) is just around the corner!
GOOD LUCK!!!!! This experience has added so much unwanted stress to my move.
Hey guys, I have submitted my endorsement for CA RN license back in May. The package with my application and fingerprint card arrived at the Calif BORN office on May 20th.
My bank check was deposited and transaction completed during the first week of June.
A week later, I received an email asking me to update my email, as the email I have used when establishing a Breeze account was different from the email I have listed on my endorsement application.
I have called the BON office, and only was successful in talking to a human being on two out of six occasions.
The first successful phone call was to ask for a fingerprint background check card, as I have placed an order online, but took forever to get to my mailbox.
The second time I called was in mid-June. A guy answered the phone, told me that they were still working on April applicants at that time.
As of now, what's funny, is when I log into my Breeze account, under "License/Registration Information" box, it states "no license information available"
How come my status is still like this after almost a month after the CA BON deposited my bank check? Is this correct?
Because I would think that there would be something listed about the date my endorsement application was received, when my check was received, etc.....under the "license/registration information" box.
We just cannot get a decent reply from the call center agents. Every time I call I get different answers.
My timeline:
May 22 - Board of Nursing received my mailed application with live fingerprint scans
June 12- Received email to confirm my account. Noted on the deficiencies : missing education history. My money order was cashed June 3.
every week I would call just to ask for update but they say different time frames.
July 13 - Still missing education history noted on deficiencies. Called BRN to update and the agent said they are working on cases cashed mid April and that they are processing more than 10,000 applications. Advised me to wait and call again after 3 weeks
I just don't know what will happen next. I am on week 6 since the money order was cashed. How long does it usually take to complete the process?

I just called and asked to speak to the supervisor because I was so fed up with hearing the same thing. You can ask to just tell them you'll hold and don't want to be transfered to a voicemail. You can also file a complaint about the board which they assign to personnel to investigate for you. I've been waiting about the same amount of time but I'm a military spouse and my application should have been expedited by law so there is my frustration. The supervisor told me to give him a day to figure out what's going on with my application so I'll do just that. If no progress I just keep filing complaints and talking to supervisors until Wednesday then I'm booking a flight out there. I'm done with this crap. Done!
"Missing education history" is just a placeholder that they use on the website until your application is actually looked at.
"No license information available" just means that you don't have a license yet and they still are processing your application.
It took me just over nine weeks to receive my license, from the day my cash was checked (April 10) to the day it appeared on BreEZe (June 15). I called several times and eventually filed a complaint too (on week nine), but I wouldn't advise doing that until you have been able to get someone on the phone and it has been at least 8 weeks. (They say their timeline is "6-8 weeks" after your check is cashed.)
I have also read on some BRN documents that April-July is their busiest time of year so that is why they are probably taking an extra long time. Hope this helps... try to be patient!
I sent email 3 times since last month but then I don't get any reply. How do I file a complaint. It's so difficult to be jobless here in California. Even my husband cannot sit for the RN Exam since his application is not even approved! I dunno if they care for us or what, they should know our situation so that they will understand. I also feel guilty every time I call knowing they are busy but then it's so hard to wait for a long time.

I am finalizing my application. Just wanted to verify that it is okay to send a personal check?
