I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Just got through on the phone with the BON. They said that my FBI background check cleared on May 3 but that no one has looked at my transcripts yet. She also said that they are "currently processing applications from Mid-March". However, a girl I know endorsing from Maryland was issued her permanent license yesterday (June 3) and the date that BreEZe has recorded as the day they opened her file is April 2. Fingers crossed I get it soon!!
I am wondering about this as well. I verified with Nursys more than 90 days ago however when I attempt to reverify it says a verification has already been sent to CA. Is the verification really only good for 90 days?
Did someone mention that if you use Nursys to verify, it's only good for 90 days? So what if CA BON can't process your application within 90 days, does that mean you have to re-verify?
Just thought I'd share my timeline with you all because I know many of your individual posts with your timelines/experiences helped me through my period of waiting/questioning...even if it was simply because it reassured me, knowing at least I wasn't the only one waiting weeks and weeks :)
January 21, 2015--mailed application priority mail with check and also request for temporary license. 2 days previous I had submitted requests for transcripts to be sent. The following day, I completed the Nursys verification for the other state I hold a license for. (Around January 7th I had completed my livescan in California).
Febuary 11 -- I got an email requesting confirmation of my email/account with breeze. I made my account and saw that they had listed my application date as Febuary 5, same day as when my check was cashed.
Around March 10th--Called just for the sake of calling. Was on hold for 15 minutes. A fairly polite individual answered. Gave the generic answer that they were still processing applications from January, not to call back until my application was at least in the system for 6-8 weeks.
When I asked them if all my transcripts had been received and if I was missing any classes ( as I wasn't sure if I was missing an aging and society class) she said they hadn't even performed an initial review of my application, that it was too early.
Off and on checked online for any changes. Initially, application said pending and missing education history (although I knew they had received my transcripts).
March 24, 2015--checked on my application and noticed that it no longer said anything about my education, just pending, and under details and status "open". Call me crazy, but for different reasons I just kept checking the site that same morning. I hadn't done that before, but I just had this sense that it would be the day--that and I was contemplating enrolling in a local masters program and was hoping for a "sign" that California was the next step instead of staying here in TN. Anyway, my dramatic storytelling aside, a couple hours after I had initially checked that morning, my license number magically appeared! Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, it was surreal! Just amazing. It was really special to be able to see it pop up minutes after having just seen the same old "pending" and "open".
So yeah, sorry for the long and drawn out timeline, but I'm still excited about how it all went down:)
California is insanely slow and its super frustrating, but worth the wait if that's where you eventually want to end up. Just have realistic expectations. Know that it can/will take months.
Now I just need to get my act together and actually move out there :)
P.S.I never did get a temporary license, so I kinda wasted 50 bucks, but I'm still glad I requested one. Just in case a dream job lined up, I didn't want to regret not having at least a temporary license.

I called Nursys and they said the verification is good as long as it is open. The receiving state has to close it. So it is good for more than 90 days as long as California has not closed the verification. And if they have you can call Nursys and they will reopen it free of charge. Nursys phone number is (866) 819-1700
Hello Everyone!
I saw all the comments and just wanted to say that it usually take them about 4 to 5 weeks from the date you check is cashed to receive your permanent license. I also had paid for a temp license but never received it. Not sure if they are making a better effort to send those out. If you want to speak with someone at the board I suggest you do it early in the morning. I was able to reach them that way :)
After calling the Board earlier this week with it being almost 7 weeks since my check was cashed, (10 weeks total since mailing things in), a board member told me they looked at my file and saw that everything was in there to issue my license but the evaluator for my license had so many to issue that it was going to take maybe another 3 weeks. I filed a complaint on the board website that day after that convo. I had a department of california affairs member email me the next day and tell me that they called my evaluator and had my perm license number issued for me that day. So its finally posted! going on 11 weeks total, 7 weeks since check has been cashed. its not showing up yet on nursys just the breeze website.

I have heard that if its been more than 6 week since the check is cashed to email the DCA directly and complaint about it. Some friends told me that they received their licenses within a day or so.
Nine weeks now since check cashed. Two calls to BON in the last week- first call (6/5) said they couldn't tell if my transcripts were there, but that it would be "about another 4 weeks" until I get my license. Second call (6/10) said they had everything (including all transcripts) and that I have an assigned evaluator, but that she has "so many applications, it will probably be a few more weeks." I filed a complaint with the DCA yesterday because this timeframe is unacceptable. We'll see what happens.
Mostly using this thread to vent my frustrations at this point! Not sure that this info is very helpful to anyone!
Hello Fellow nurses,
My submission date as per Breeze website was April 28th, but I've noticed that the status regarding my endorsement disappeared. Yesterday when I checked it, it says "pending" then "missing education history" was taken out.
Does anybody here has experienced this? Does this mean that I have issues regarding my endorsement? I paid for a temp license by the way.
Any help will be highly appreciated :)
