Tidewater Community College Fall 2018

Hello all fellow applicants for TCC's Fall Semester 2018!

I have been scouring the most recent TCC post, and the latest applicants have been offered their seats in the program, woohoo!!! As a result, I have decided to post a new thread for the next round of applications.

Just curious, will anyone be a resident of Virginia for only a short time before applying? I will be moving in December and I was wondering if my measly two month-long residency will hold up as well against someone who has been a resident of Virginia for over a year.

Happy application cycle! :) Hope to see some of you someday soon.

I cant wait either. Its torture lol. It takes 2 months. They send rejection letters. They also send letters if you will be an alternate. Looking at past years posts up here, people started getting them around the 20th I believe.

I was told by Alicia that the letters will go out the week of April 15th. Everyone who applied should receive a letter. I'm nervous too!

I applied for the ESCC cohort and they only take 10 students!!! I scored an 87.77% on my HESI and have all my other classes completed. I feel like everything is riding on this decision for me.

So when I applied last cohort I got my rejection letter on the 18th. So three days after the 15th. They checked off why I didn't get in (low hesi score). So we should get our letters by April 20 I would imagine. If you don't get in, there's a check list and they'll mark why you didn't get in.

April can't get here soon enough!

That's really good that they indicate in rejection letters why someone wasn't accepted. Hopefully the next month and a half will fly by

Hopefully none of us will be getting a rejection letter! Is anyone else interested in doing the concurrent enrollment through ODU for BSN? I have so many questions about that and I'm not really sure who or where to start with all that.

I'm interested in doing that too! When I went to the info session I asked about it. They said once tire accepted to tcc you apply to the concurrent option and the dean (I think) of tcc has to recommend you as a candidate. Could be different now though.

Yeah it's still the same. I'm hoping to start the odu classes in January. I've gotten the application it has a section where the dean at TCC has to sign off on before you can apply.

So have you guys completed all of the BSN prerequisites already? The only course I am missing is statistics, which I am considering taking over the summer so that I could apply to ODU asap.

Yeah I already have a bachelors so they automatically waive a few of the pre-reqs. I'm only missing one and I'm planning on taking it over the summer.
