Tidewater Community College Fall 2018

Hello all fellow applicants for TCC's Fall Semester 2018!

I have been scouring the most recent TCC post, and the latest applicants have been offered their seats in the program, woohoo!!! As a result, I have decided to post a new thread for the next round of applications.

Just curious, will anyone be a resident of Virginia for only a short time before applying? I will be moving in December and I was wondering if my measly two month-long residency will hold up as well against someone who has been a resident of Virginia for over a year.

Happy application cycle! :) Hope to see some of you someday soon.

I applied last cohort and sadly didn't make it in due to my HESI. I'm applying again for reconsideration, unfortunately TCC only allows one HESI score within a year. I'm also applying to the bsn program at ODU and NSU. good luck everyone!

I'm sorry to hear that, but you will get in! This HESI test is really bugging me out. How was the chemistry section, if you don't mind answering? I have never taken a chem class before, so I'll be relying on the other parts of the test. í ½í¸¨

I hope so! I thought it was really hard and I ended up bombing it. When I took it on July o hadn't taken chemistry in seven years and than was high school. I struggled with it in high school too. I'm taking it online right now and still struggling. Chemistry just isn't for me. Everyone else says it's basic and very easy on the HESI so I might just be really bad at it. Just study and you'll do great! Good luck!!

Hi! I also didn't get in for the spring of 2018 due to my HESI score. Has anyone attended a recent info session at TCC? I needed nights and weekends and just noticed that that option no longer exists! 😲 Do you know if there are evening classes? Evening, weekend clinical? Thanks!

I think the night/weekend cohort is just for the spring start date. What did you make on your hesi if you don't mind me asking?

It used to be. It isn't an option anymore and was taken out of the information booklet. I got a 76.

I remember when I went to the info session in June they said they were asking big changes for the fall 2018 cohort. I would imagine that was one of the changes. Shoot me too! Hopefully this is our round! Good luck!

Thanks, good luck to you too. There's also only 1 cohort for fall and 1 for spring. And some advanced placement cohort.

Hey everyone, hope the application process is proving to be smooth for all of you. Has anyone attended the required information session before? What's it like? Do you have to sign in and sign out?

Yeah you sign in with your student number. They jut walk you through the application and decision process. They basically just read the infomsrtion packet to you then answer questions.

Okay, that's great. Than you for the info!
