Tidewater Community College Spring 2022

Is anyone applying to the Tidewater community College nursing program for the Spring 2022 cohort?

Hello! I'll be applying for Spring 2022, just finished taking my HESI and it's feeling real now LOL.

Yeah the HESI did that for me too. I hope you did well though. I took mine in January and got a 83.14 but didn't get in for this fall cohort because I was still finishing up some prerequisites. Fingers crossed for this next try.??‍♀️

I got an 87.7, I’ve been reading and looks like the cut off is usually around 79 so that makes me feel better ? I’ve taken everything except A&P 2. I hope you get in for Spring! I wanted to apply for Fall but didn’t have half the pre-reqs done in time LOL. I’m just ready to apply and find out. ?

Oh that's a great score! I hope it stays around 79%. I didn't think a&p2 was that bad, it was easier than a&p1 to me. I foolishly decided to retake Microbiology this Summer to earn a higher grade LOL. So we'll see. LOL

I am! Finishing up A&P2 this Summer, taking the HESI 8/13 LOL. 

Hi! Good luck on the HESI. Might sound strange but I wish I was taking a&p2 right now because this Microbiology course is kicking my butt?I found a&p2 much easier than Microbiology and a&p1.

Greetings all! I am so happy the deadline is here! I was supposed to apply for fall admission but my HS transcript arrived one day after the deadline ?? (despite requesting it a whole month and a half in advance). I now have all my documents and I am ready to go! I took the HESI in Feb and got an 86. I have taken all pre-reqs and co-reqs EXCEPT A&P II. I have two previous bachelor's degrees and I currently work as a therapist with a nonprofit organization. Hopefully that makes me competitive enough! I am sending positive vibes and well wishes to all of the applicants this cycle ?

That's a great HESI score as well! How is it working as a therapist?? That was one of my main career choices when I was younger. Sending positive vibes your way as well!

I really love my job. I'm not a therapist in the sense that I provide 60 minutes sessions on a weekly basis though. I'm a crisis counselor... so when people are in a mental health crisis, the emergency room calls me and I conduct an assessment to determine the appropriate level of care recommended for the client. It's super fast paced and it's quite fun. LOL. I've just come to the end of my rope... There's really no upward mobility unless I consider administration... and that's not my cup of tea. So at least with nursing, I can expand my options in the psych arena and explore a whole new field at the same time.
