Tidewater Community College Spring 2020

Hi all! I was wondering who will be applying to TCC in Portsmouth for Spring 2020 admit. Wondering what you got on the HESI as well as if you finished any pre reqs/co reqs and GPA with those. Thanks and good luck!

Hi, I've finished English 111 A, Psych 201 B, Psych 230 A, SDV A, Bio 141 A. I'm taking Bio 142 in the fall along with PHI 226. I took my HESI on Wednesday and got an 83. I really hope that is good enough to get in with the classes I have already taken. How do they calculate what scores they will accept? I know they go by the 45th percentile but what do they use to calculate that number? I just really want to get in.

Hi!! I went to the info session this week and the dean said they base admission mainly off of the HESI score and they just look to see that you have above a 2.5 GPA and its not as much of a determining factor. We wont know the average until the letters go out in October as to your HESI question. Its the 45th percentile of all of the students that apply, I am assuming. I want to get in so badly as well!

I went this week as well. I really wished they'd tell the score to prevent people from applying unnecessarily if they meet the minimum score. How did u do on your Hesi?

Question, have your results posted on elsevier yet? Did the proctor have to do anything once she printed the results? Mine arent showing on evolve yet

I wish I had gotten a 95. I did horrible on the math because I spent more time studying for Science. Yes, mine were posted the same day and the Proctor didn't have to do anything. Maybe you should call them.
