Tidewater Community College Fall 2018

Hello all fellow applicants for TCC's Fall Semester 2018!

I have been scouring the most recent TCC post, and the latest applicants have been offered their seats in the program, woohoo!!! As a result, I have decided to post a new thread for the next round of applications.

Just curious, will anyone be a resident of Virginia for only a short time before applying? I will be moving in December and I was wondering if my measly two month-long residency will hold up as well against someone who has been a resident of Virginia for over a year.

Happy application cycle! :) Hope to see some of you someday soon.

Well done! I'm sure you'll get in.👍🏼 I think I have a 3.85 or something close to that, 94% on the hesi. Hope to see you there! 👌🏻👍🏼🙌

That's a fantastic HESI score! If I get in, I'm sure I'll see you there. Did you get all your prerequisites done?

Both of y'all have great stats! I got a 91% on my hesi and a 3.6. Fingers crossed we'll all get in!

Thank you, you too! You rocked it! Yeah, I finished my pre reqs last semester. I am attending the February 21st Nursing info session since the one last month was canceled...after that, I'll just be playing the waiting game. I bet I'll meet you someday soon! Amazing job on the hesi!

Thank you, so did you!! I'm betting you guys will get in for sure :)

I'll be at the info session too! After that the waiting game begins

Hi everyone. I have applied for this fall too. I cant think of anything but this Hesi. I scored an 82. I bombed the Chemistry. I chose to take Micro instead and my score reflected it. It dropped my grade a lot. I have Bs in all sciences and the other classes I have all As. My prerequisites are all completed. My GPA looks good. I did talk to one lady last year that said she bombed chemistry and still got in.. Fortunately she had a bachelors degree to help her. She and 3 others in my class did not take anatomy and they were all in the nursing program. I say that to say that it doesn't matter if youve completed prereqs or not. Does anyone know how many students they take in?

They only have 1 cohort this fall with 32 seats. Hopefully there won't be a lot of applicants.

Only 32 spots? That's going to make it more competitive

It's unfortunate that the nights and weekend option is no longer available. It would have given us all a better chance. I'm hoping for the best.

Only 32?? I wanted to go to TCC because of the nights and weekends and then as soon as I apply its gone lol. Trying to stay positive. Good luck to everyone.

I'm sorry they don't have nights/weekend anymore. Would you still be able to attend if it's only days? Good luck to you as well
