I wish they didn't cut acceptance down by half this semester. 82 is a good HESI score! Have you looked at Sentara?

I'm so sorry to hear that. What was your HESI if you don't mind me asking? Did you complete all of the corequisites? Someone on here said they were only taking one cohort of 32 now. I'm not sure if that's the case?

Yes, that's it. Other classes don't count, curricular GPA just is required to be 2.5, and each prerequisite and corequisite has a point value assigned to it. So if your GPA is high from less important classes like ENG 111, it isn't worth as much as an A from Micro or A&P.

Well, the main thing is that BIO 150 is a corequisite rather than a prerequisite now. Outside of that, they said that individual classes/grades are graded. Curricular GPA is just a qualifier, and needs to be over 2.5 to be eligible for application.

Hi all, I just went to the information session today. The good news is that it sounds like there's still 64 seats, just all starting in August. Yay!

Did you take chemistry? As far as I understand you are required to have either chemistry or microbiology to be eligible to apply. I may be wrong though! :)

Hi, all! I figured that I would join the two month wait over here. I have most of my prerequisites done-- I'm currently taking BIO 142 and PSY 230 (they said this semester was fine to take it since they're transitioning the curriculum.) I just took the HESI and turned in my application-- I got a 92. Good luck to everyone applying!!

I reached out to them about the cancellation. They said that if you put down that you intend to go to the February session, they'll let you apply.
