I sat for the NCLEX July 2nd with two of my girlfriends. I took the exam, it shut off at 75 questions and it only took me about 30 minutes to answer all the questions. (I am a notoriously fast test taker... this is not uncommon for me and I graduated Cum Laude with a BSN).

Fast-forward to Saturday morning...I am anxiously checking and re-checking Quick Results...the other 2 girls have gotten their (good) results, and I'm still waiting. So I try the PearsonVue "trick" and it tells me that my results are on hold. *sigh*

Monday morning I call the BON who tells me that yes my results are on hold and I need to call PearsonVue. PearsonVue tells me the same thing and that I need to call NCSBN. NCSBN tells me that my results are on hold because "You took it in such an extraordinarly fast amount of time and we need to review your exam."

Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I scoured all three websites and found nothing that said they could do that...

Regardless: I PASSED!!!!

But had I known I was going to be put through all that b/c I am a fast reader, I would have forced myself to sit there for a minute before clicking the "next" button!

took me 30 minutes, computer shut down after 75.

walked out, knowing i passed.

around a week later, results arrived in mail.

i let hubby open it (telling him all along that i had passed)...

he read results, handed it back to me, and called me a "cocky son-of-a-______".:lol2::lol2::lol2:

and does so, to this day.

(why do i laugh?????????)

Ya know, I think it would take longer to cheat! I wonder if maybe they just want to make sure there wasn't a glitch with the test administration system and it didn't give you some easy question 75 times or something!

I finished 78 questions in 17 minutes, knew in my heart that I passed, and didn't get an "on hold" response either. Strange. Congratulations, we're all proud of you!

Hey you passed and that is all that matters. I still LOLed though. >_

Congrats

Edit: I did 75 questions in 35 minutes. So what is the difference in 5 minutes....

I took the NCLEX today - I felt it wasn't as hard as I had expected and finished in about 40-50 minutes with 75 questions.

I came home and decided after waiting a few hours to try the Pearson Vue trick. I got the same message you did about your test results being on hold!!! I'm really upset because I don't want to play the telephone game either nor do I think I should have to.

I 'feel' like I passed, but i'm also concerned that I won't find out in the 48 hours, and you all know i'm of course a nervous wreck and can't stop thinking about whether I passed or not!! Argh!!

I was always a fast test-taker in school, it prevents me from second guessing myself - and I was on a roll today :( So bummed.
