QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
This was interesting........

"Mr Hur, a Republican, recounted that Mr Biden had also struggled to recall milestones in his own life, including the years of his vice-presidency and when his oldest son Beau had died from cancer.
The revelation shone a spotlight on one of Mr Biden's biggest political weaknesses - voter concerns about his age and lucidity - and provoked a furious response from Democrats"
Yes. Lawyers couldn't secure a case because Bden can't remember details of his own life. So yeah, he's really competent to be the POTUS
Because Trump is mean.

I watched that hearing today where House Republicans wasted another 4+hours of time and had to stop their proceedings because they didn't follow proper parliamentary process in their urgency. The funny thing is that they have a transcript of the interview that is officially certified to be an accurate word for word transcript. They simply want the audio and next they will want the video so that they can edit the material and use it in campaign ads. They've done it before and they'll do it again.
The hearing shone a light on the fact that Republicans have wasted more than $20 million on efforts to adversely affect public opinion of Biden on Trump's behalf. It shone a light on the fact that they are desperate to suggest that Biden is cognitively unfit for office by demanding an audio tape to examine demeanor, as if Biden's demeanor is a mystery. They have to try to balance the cognitive decline of Trump that is increasingly obvious as he is stressed and sleeping poorly.
You clearly didn't read the Hur report because you just passed off some right wing nonsense about why there weren't charges brought against Biden. The actual report, and the prosecutor (under oath) said something entirely different. I'm just going to assume that you are ignorant of the details and facts of the report and that you weren't lying and trying to gas light me in this thread.
Trump lies and gas lights and he tends to influence his ardent supporters to do the same.
Crusades said:What is this symbol? Is the "red triangle"? Well in Canada a popular hardware store uses a red triangle for their logo. Canadian Tire. I guess Canada has an open Nazi store.
Oh and the most reconized Nazi symbols is the swastika.
Or was it the bald eagle(national US symbol) adorned on top of a US flag?
Talk about conspiracy theories.
Either way. Trump didn't give a eulogy for a KKK member. Biden must have forgot.....
I'll let you go ahead and deny the connection. It's just another thing that you don't know.
Either way. Biden gave a eulogy for a FORMER member of the KKK. I guess you forgot that word that in the short span between the posts. I'm sure you weren't intentionally misrepresenting things about Biden, right? You didn't think that since Trump is endorsed and passionately supported by white nationalists and white supremacists and CURRENT KKK, that maybe you should imply that Biden is the same as Trump. Surely not.
Trump didn't give a eulogy for a former KKK leader. Trump is endorsed by the KKK and most of the white supremacy groups in the USA. Trump hired racists like Roger Stone and Steve Bannon and Steven Miller. He had dinner with Nick Fuentes. Maybe he forgot, or you did.

(does Trump meet the standard of "repete offender?)
Oh yes we most certainly can associate the morality and ethics and the political leadership that YOU CHOOSE. Don't be silly. It's publicly known in these threads that you know about Trump's disqualifying character flaws and dangerous un-American thinking and planning and actions and you STILL CHOOSE to support him. That is a reflection of your values, your ethics and morals and patriotism.
Wow. That was a brief but confused rant.
That claim about misinterpretation is stupid. I provided you with Trump's exact words. You get to interpret them as you prefer. I'll just stick with the context and actual words while you white wash it.
Clearly you haven't read Project 2025 even though I'm pretty sure it was linked here in AN political section. I think that your "LOL" at this point, when talking about a clear plan to usurp constitutional limits on the presidency, reflects your naive youth and level of indoctrination.
Correction. Even with all his flaws and all the really bad stuff you say about Trump, I choose him over Biden. It takes cognition to do all those things. There I only 2 choices. Because Biden is not fit to run the US.
Unfortunately Trump is more .

There's no correction. You said it yourself. You choose Trump over Biden.
You choose the guy liable for sexual assault.
You choose the guy with a huge defamation loss, almost $100,000,000 for running his mouth.
You choose the guy who cheated on all of his three wives.
You choose the guy who made repeated comments about his daughter and sex. You chose the guy who had sex with the porn star because she reminded him of his daughter. The guy who had multiple photos taken of his young daughter in questionable suggestive poses.
You choose the guy that lied about the 2020 election and then threw a huge "dance in defeat" party that got out of hand and tried to stop the EC vote certification so that the party host wouldn't have to be a "loser".
You choose the guy who lied to you about a pandemic and fully mismanaged the nation's response.
You choose the guy who stood on a stage in Helsinki like he was Putin's pool boy and told the world that he believed the despot and not his own country's national security and intelligence advisors and experts. That image of weakness really appeals to the MAGA crowd.
You choose the guy who stole from a charity and ran a scam "university".
You choose the guy who, just the other day, was praising the "late, great Hannibal Lector" as if he was a real person".
"It takes cognition to do all of those things"
I'm a little bit embarrassed for you.

Oh look. A failed republican presidential candidate is going to publicly ignore the affects of climate change in his state. That will be expensive.
Will the governor of Arkansas be Trump's choice for VP? He won't care much about that podium stuff or the appearance of deceit.

Potential embarrassment or fear that the tapes will be used politically isn't a legitimate reason to invoke executive privilege. It's in the interest of the citizenry to see and hear the recordings.

I'm embarrassed for Biden everyday. Mostly because of his dementia and how his family engages in senior abuse for power. Also because even if all these things you repetitively say about Trump arre true, Biden is still not competent to be POTUS. LOL
By the way, constant repetition of words and phrases is a form of propaganda. Highly utilized by the democrat party.....

Oh okay.... He was a "former kkk member" A group that lynched, hung and wanted to enslaved black people. Right. It's okay because he used to be a part of that.
I'm so sure any republican would be given such grace. ...
Those meaningless white supremist groups (one having a leader who is afro_cuban) may or may not endorse Trump...
But Biden 100% gave a heart felt eulogy to a kkk member. Maybe he forgot ?
