i am sick and tired of being asked "so you going to come over and give me a back rub?"
when eligible men find out i am a nurse.........who the h*#@ has time to give anybody a back rub? certainly not any NURSE i know of.
when will the public realize we work HARD for NOT ENOUGH money?

I love the journal link and everything that was commented on is real, too. Yes I am a nurse and I am proud of it. It makes me laugh when others ask if I am going to med school, but no one understands that to go to med school I would have to start from square one. There are very few if any Abbey Lockharts out there!

#5 reminds me of one time I had an abcessed tooth and went to a new dentist. He pulled the tooth and was't going to give me an antibiotic because "You can just get an antibiotic tomorrow at work". I proceeded to tell him that I can't just help myself to meds and did not leave till he called in an antibiotic for me. I never went back to him.

I have another one...
If you are an unemployed, uninsured, able bodied patient making unrealistic demands whilst in the hospital, NEVER say to your nurse, "You have to _______ (fill in blank), I pay your wages." Really?

You look like you know what you're doing. Have you been doing this long?
Sevensonnets - I usually reply, "Yeah this is the first time I've done this on a real live person, but I've practiced a whole lot during sim class". Just kidding!
