i've read lots of threads about everyone biting their nails to the quick, becoming a nervous wreck, and generally going nuts while waiting for various test result to come back.
let's think of some fun things to do to take your mind off worrying about how many ???s the computer stopped at, etc.
-get reacquainted w/so and kids. :icon_hug:
-take the kids to a movie. or take yourself to a movie. see the one only you want to see. i highly recommend phantom of the opera. don't forget to buy popcorn. :melody: :yelclap:
-go shopping and buy yourself a sexy nightie and surprise your husband. :flowersfo
-knit/crochet an afghan. :yeahthat:
-file your income taxes.
your turn!! :bowingpur :plonker2:
Hey! For everyone waiting to hear their results from NCLEX-if you want to distract yourself go see "War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruise. Wow! What a captivating movie! It was the ONLY thing so far that actually took my mind off of my NCLEX for a couple of hours! It was so interesting. :) Leave it to aliens to make me forget about nursing! :chuckle
While waiting for final exam grades (nearly a week, WAY too long when classes are over!!), I swing into action. Ok, maybe you wouldn't consider this fun, but it IS therapeutic! At least for me, anyway...I CLEAN. Like a madwoman. My kitchen counters get everything removed, I scrub and soak and polish appliances and nooks and crannies. I clean out the fridge (CLEAN, not just empty!). I polish the furniture. I scrub stains of unknown origin off my kids floors.
My hands stay busy, my house looks great, and I used up that anxiety energy!
Dude! I thought I was the only one that did this :rotfl: :rotfl: :roll :roll :roll
go & continue doing your crosstitching that you've left behind from sem-break,
email with your cousins abroad & keep pretending that you are not waiting for something! all of a sudden you emailed them,hmm...
spend quality time with your family (playing indoor games, mind boogling games to realease stress),Stressor, hmm again.. :heartbeat
Hmmm...
1. be thankfull that Im actually at that point!
2. Party like john Bulushi in animal :smiley_aa house!!!! :barf01:
3. recover from partying like john Bulushi in animal house...very slowly... :yeahthat: :zzzzz
4. thank all my frindes i still have for putting up with me. :loveya: :icon_hug: :thankya:
AWESOME IDEA!!!
1. Read the Bible. Trust me, it helps!
2. Read some Harry Potter (:rotfl: I know, I know...whatever) It really takes your mind off your problems.
3. SLEEP!!!! Try to relax and clear your mind.
4. Work out. It makes you tired, or hungry, which in turn actually makes you sleepy, which goes with my #3.
5. Get acquainted with family (those you've completely forgotten about during nursing school:p )
6. Go to an amusement park and take out that nervous energy in walking long miles in the park.
And last, but not least...
7. PIG OUT ON ALL THE FOOD YOU CAN FIND!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :chuckle :wink2:
When i'm waiting for my Patho and Foundations test grades to be posted i hang out with the gurls i live with in the dorms. We go see movies and sing to really loud music in the floors common room. Last time we saw RENT and i was so tired from studying that they got me to dance on one of the tables to La Vie Boheme. :Melody: :imbar i still cant live that one down.
