The wait for your acceptance into nursing school

Published

Anyone else finding the wait to see if you are accepted into nursing school excrutiating. Right now I am waiting to find out if I am accepted, and it has totally got me freakd out. It's like everything is riding on this one thing that I am waiting for.

Right now, the school I applied to is going through the applications making sure that everything that needs to be done is, so I have been in close contact with my advisor. I am waiting to see if the english class I am taking will be accepted by the nursing school. I am so nervous, I just want everything to work out.

Just wanted to know if anyone else out there is sitting anxiously for their acceptance letter.

okay so the application period for the program I applied for officially closed yesterday! ahh that means they are probably going to start making decisions now and I hope they decide to accept me! eek! I am very nervous!:uhoh3::uhoh3:

I just filled out my application a few days ago and I am so anxious! I want to go to Delaware Tech, and I have 19 out of the possible 24 clinical points. Does anyone know the lowest number of points that was accepted to clinicals at Deltech Stanton campus?

HATE THE WAITING GAME..I check my email every 20 minutes!! I am hoping for an Alternate spot in my school for the Fall. The lady at school said if I get an alternate spot, it will most likely be the last spot. But It is said for the last 3 years every alternate spot has been able to get a spot in the program for that semester, so my fingers, toes and eyes are crossed. Not to mention if I get in.. I have to move 3 hours away to where my school is. So nerve-racking! I try to do things to keep my mind off of it, But that is very hard! They said that alternate emails and letters should go by the end of Feburary/ begining of March!! I feel like my whole life is on hold until then!! Good Luck to everyone!

Have they already sent out the letters for the guaranteed spots so you are now waiting on the alternate spots??

MsAshley,

Pretty much.. they send out letters to 110 people saying they are in the program then.. they send out 15 alternate spots. The 110 accepted have to accept by a certain date. Then if your an alternateyour notified by June if you get to take the place of of the 110 that did not accept. So i find out if I made an alternate position in March, then if "Yes" I find out again in June if I'm accepted. Yea the lady pretty much told me they already had 110 people before I was even done with my pre-reqs :(. But I am hoping for that last little chance to take an alternate spot!!

Just sent my application for the RN program today.

Im all worried if I missed something and whether or not I forgot to fill something in or whatever.

Deadline is Feb 1 and we should know in like 6-8 weeks after that.

Feeling especially stressed today cause I just found out that though my school allows you to have your last pre-reqs in progress when you apply, they rank people with all pre-reqs completed above people like me (still in last semester of pre-reqs). So my 4.0 might be all for not. Someone with a GPA lower than me could make it in over me if they have all their pre-reqs done. I respect the reason for this (I agree that this as it should be), but still, I feel way more stressed now. :( So tired of waiting for nursing school!

Hang in there! I know it's tiring to wait! It's wearing me out too! Just know that you are not alone in the waiting game. I wish you the best of luck!!!
