I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

If you LOOK at the picture label from Trumps truth social post, can see its from 2017- first presidency prior to Jared Polis becoming governor in 2019. 😉 Why didn't he complain back then? Red herring to distract from dismantling of current federal government departments?
I'm guessing he didn't complain during the first presidency because he didn't have his cool mugshot portrait yet. LOL
To follow up something we talked about, Colorado will be removing the unflattering portrait of Trump in favor of something more contemporary.

What bothers me about that picture is his cheeks and how wide his head is. It's not an attractive painting. I don't blame him for complaining. But years later and using it to make a slur against the Democrat governor is lame. I don't think the current governor was in charge at the time.
This is how Trump looked around that time.

Bit what, all of a sudden, has the toddler in chief whining about an old portrait? What dark little internet rabbit holes does that crazy old guy spend his time exploring?

The video in this tweet does shed some light on the situation. Below the link is an excerpt from that video.

QuoteThe space for our former president was empty, and went unnoticed for some time until pranksters put up a portrait of Russian president Vladimir Putin in it's place.
I believe what happened is that once again, the space went unnoticed for some time, even when the portrait was finally put in place. When it was noticed, the outrage torch was lit, and the result was his lengthy Truth Social tirade and attack on Jared Polis, who was elected after the imbroglio.
Kevin Grantham was Republican president of the Colorado senate, but he left in 2019 when John Hickenlooper was governor.

I don't understand what sparked the tirade. The portrait was hung in 2019. What triggered the mad but vain king's tirade? Is he up at night looking at all of the images of himself in Google?

Trump's not an attractive guy. He was chubby back then although Doctor Ronny said otherwise.
In his portrait which Donald suddenly hates, he looks like he was raised on mother's milk. like babies who were fed at Mom's on-tap drinks. Babies who start their life that way have chubby cheeks, and Donold is nothing if not a big baby.....
And psst, not to start another firestorm but has anyone noticed how thin Donald's hair is? He must've just got a haircut. I can see the balding spots showing under his not-so-voluminous-coiffure's POUF.

After his physical in 2019, according to an article I'm reading Dr. Jackson said he was in overall good health, without major concerns and it was noted that he gained weight from his prior physical after being advised to lose 10 lbs thus tipping him into the obese BMI area.
I might agree because six years later after a pretty grueling campaign he's keeping a tight schedule and getting a lot of things done (most of which I don't approve of but that's not the point) and he meets with the press often. The press hasn't had much to say about his over health and stamina.
Can you link where he said Trump wasn't chubby.
However, as NSIME is saying he looks like a chubby baby. I don't think it looks like him at the time.

That's funny. It's OK if you don't agree with the way I characterized how the sychphant physician described Trump. I don't care if it looks like him then or now.
I care that for some reason THIS portrait that's been in its place for 6 years is suddenly the focus of the president. I care that in the meanwhile, the distracted old man's cabinet seems to be running amuck of our defense protocols and he doesn't know anything about that.

"She must have lost her talent as she got older. In any event, I would much prefer not having a picture than having this one, but many people from Colorado have called and written to complain. In fact, they are actually angry about it! I am speaking on their behalf to the Radical Left Governor, Jared Polis, who is extremely weak on Crime, in particular with respect to Tren de Aragua, which practically took over Aurora (Don't worry, we saved it!), to take it down. Jared should be ashamed of himself! "
