Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:
1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?
2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?
3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.
Not much left to add. Says it all.
Had run ins with that one before. I've always thought he posts when he's off his meds or it's his turn to use the computer on a locked unit.
Why you mean judgmental crusty old thing! Don't you know mental health issues are sacrosanct and you should never ever say anything bad about behavior because you just don't understaaand how hard it is and I work so hard to get my dreeeaaam but the school won't let me take my meds during clinical just because I fell asleep sitting next to the patient and woke up drooling and that mean old floor nurse who doesn't remember how hard it is to be student actually went and complained about it to my instructor who lives and rules in hades.
Wait, someone is knocking, they're going to unlock the doo
Oh Dear Lord......I just started reading "overheard at the nurses station"......and got to the response of "my favorite" poster...the I know everything guy....and just about spit out my coffee!
He had the audacity to respond to the REAL nurse manager that he was taught in nursing school to "delegate" and therefore was sticking up for the RN that refused to put her patient on the bedpan.......................I don't think delegate means to shirk your duties because you feel like you are above them.... but maybe I am wrong!
Is this really what they are teaching in school these days! I doubt it!
This guy has SERIOUS issues...and I would LOVE to meet him "on a dark nursing unit" some night! Especially the one I was the manager of!
I couldn't read beyond his post....so I hope some of you responded to him....I will have to venture back after my blood pressure settles down.
(boy, and I am called diva:lol2:)
Actually, in honor of the upcoming Triple Crown in horse racing....I am in a betting mood.
Anyone care to wager how long our "favorite" poster will keep his New Grad nursing postion in the LTAC?
........hmmmmmm, I imagine not long...of course, it will only be a short time until he is the manager, or the Chief Nursing Officer....or, oh, heck.....the CEO of the facility!
after all, when everyone understands how IMPORTANT he is, the door will be kicked in with all of the offers!
