Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:
1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?
2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?
3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.
Not much left to add. Says it all.
And now I've followed the bread crumb trail to someone several of you already know, it seems....a new grad with lots of very clear ideas about how he'll run his unit, once he is a nurse manager in the very near future. How can someone be so absolutely sure about how things should and shouldn't be and what nurses should and shouldn't do when he has yet to to the job for a single day?

This is so not fair!
First, what my new bestest friend OC just said!Second, my entertainment of the day over in the NCLEX forum is getting really good! Now, people are not just being mean because she failed 3 times but because she has a hearing problem AND is 1/2 Black! It just gets better and better. Should we start taking bets on when it gets closed down?

Wait, was this some kind of NCLEX oral exam? Mine was just, you know, on the screen.
She also has a 4.0 and cannot construct a decent sentence. I also find it interesting that she can maintain a 4.0 in school, which probably teaches to the test, yet fails the NCLEX three times.First, what my new bestest friend OC just said!Second, my entertainment of the day over in the NCLEX forum is getting really good! ok, a breadcrumb PM coming to you, too! LOL......
And since when does having "hearing issues" mean you are incapable of writing a coherent paragraph? The 'half black' part is enticing, though.....suppose that means that she feels a closeness to the civil rights movement that those of us who aren't part black can't....and therefore can't understand the "oppression"?
We could go toe-to-toe, but I'd wind up stomping on her.
It leaves me wondering...in what school can I get a 4.0 GPA if I wrote like that? You have to take at least two required writing courses and a number of other classes that require you to write papers for a typical nursing program. How'd she get A's in those classes!? Not to mention, when you're actually in the program--you have to write other papers, care plans, etc.
