The Kamala Harris Thread

Published

Democrats are excited about Harris and as of this writing she's raised 100 million dollars since Biden announced he was dropping out and throwing his support behind her.

Quote

"Republicans, I worry, vastly underestimate Kamala Harris. They don't think very highly of her. They don't think she's terribly bright. When you or I bring up Kamala Harris' name in Republican circles, people laugh. It's immediately a punchline," Cruz said Monday on his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz."

Cruz warned against Republicans preemptively celebrating a Trump-Vance win months out from the election, arguing Democrats and the media will promote Harris as an "historic" candidate.

It's obvious you are not interested in discussing the article that evaluates Harris' inaccurate claims/statements.

It's obvious that do you not know that CBS is the Columbia Broadcasting System, one of the oldest tv networks in the US.

The also produce and broadcast 60 Minutes, who Trump wants to take off the air.

Harris attempts to be a skilled propagandist.

Of course these were "miscalculations" not lies.

They were neither miscalculations nor lies.

Trump was an incompetent mess during the pandemic.  He had no idea how to lead a country in crisis.  His mismanagement cost us dearly.

Propaganda would be things like calling someone a border czar when they weren't in anyway a border czar.  Propaganda would be something like telling people that immigrants are eating pets because of your opponent or that FEMA is broke and going to take your assets because of your opponent.

It was estimated that COVID cost us $16 Trillion in 2020. Having an incompetent liar in charge of things is expensive in so many ways.

Another go at it might cost us our republic.

Thankfully we don't have many ads in Colorado because we're not a swing state.   But one I've seen a few times that is approved by Kamala is full of lies, such as Trump will implement a national abortion ban.

Makes you wonder about the values of folks who would vote for such a liar.

You believe that Trump won't sign a national abortion ban because he said he wouldn't? This is a guy known for his honesty?  Known for keeping his word?

Trump is a pathological liar and is a mentally ill man who is transactional and an opportunist at best.  He has been found guilty of fraud. He is an unethical narcissist, not an ideologue.   I think it's foolish to believe such a person.

I wonder about the values of people who defend a pathological liar and try to project his disqualifying character flaws onto others.

Her opponent is no longer capable of interacting with voters like this, that's likely why his team is canceling appearances.

You're much more easier to impress than the rest of us.

"The thing that would concern me is when she doesn't want to answer a question," commentator David Axelrod said. "Her habit is to kind of go to word salad city, and she did that on a couple of answers. One was on Israel. Anderson asked a direct question, 'Would you be stronger on Israel than Trump?’ And there was a seven-minute answer, but none of it related to the question he was asking."

My opinion on Harris hedging her answer on Israel is that foreign policy briefings have advised not saying too much about Israel so as not to disrupt peace talks. What ever the US does has to be more nuanced that just bomb the snot out of Iran.

I watched the CNN Town Hall broadcast from Sun Center Studios, Aston PA  in my county (where M. Night Shyamalan movies often filmed.) Agree that she did go word salad on few answers and did not fully answer a question regarding immigrants.  However, she took many questions from the audience, unlike Trump AND comments were thoughtful and coherent overall.

I don't rely upon Fox commentators to decide which of the candidates can answer a question.  We could have compared the two candidates had Trump not canceled the debate and refused a townhall.  That's a sign of his weakness

I am amused that team Trump is trying to project Trump's word salad "weaves" onto Harris.

It wasn't Fox commentators.

Why do you suppose David Axelrod said what he did?

Trump not going to the town hall and not doing an interview is the best thing he could have done. Why give another opportunity for democrats to exploit his words and call him demented and crazy?

They both have some impressive word salad.
