The Kamala Harris Thread

Published

Democrats are excited about Harris and as of this writing she's raised 100 million dollars since Biden announced he was dropping out and throwing his support behind her.

"Republicans, I worry, vastly underestimate Kamala Harris. They don't think very highly of her. They don't think she's terribly bright. When you or I bring up Kamala Harris' name in Republican circles, people laugh. It's immediately a punchline," Cruz said Monday on his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz."

Cruz warned against Republicans preemptively celebrating a Trump-Vance win months out from the election, arguing Democrats and the media will promote Harris as an "historic" candidate.

It sounds like you maybe listen to that podcast, eh?  You seem to know what all of their programming focuses on.  Perhaps there was a radio host or some commentator who did that research for you and they told you what that podcast is about. Is your comment all pearl clutchy about people talking and laughing about sex while forgetting the things that Trump has said and laughed about relative to sex. He joked about having sex with Ivanka on the regular before you knew who he was.  That's back when he and Epstein were thick as thieves.

Who cares if I do. I'm a woman, it's my choice.  It's not hard to know threat isn't much substance to that pod cast other than sex, femism and call people "daddy".  Because there's nothing like being a proud feminist and calling people "daddy". Or having people call you "daddy". I'm not sure. Do you think Harris calls any9ne "daddy"?

The pod cast is called "Call Me Daddy". Speaks for itself.

It just a weird choice for her to go on and say nothing. And that host is much more richer than I am. So each to their own.

I have 4 children.  Not at all. Just a weird pick to do an interview when you are running to be the POTUS.

Call Me Daddy.

Where sex acts, feminism and extorting men can be discussed openly. Actual it not at all weird for democrats.

People who have sex and are feminists vote. So why wouldn't a candidate want to be heard by them? By your own admission, republicans have sex. And yes, some of them are feminists. Liz Cheney comes to mind.

I don't know much about extortion, certainly not as much as a former president. Perhaps you do, as well?

I personally didn't listen to the podcast. Is that what they actually spoke about?

You must listen to them since you are telling us with such confidence what their typical content includes.  Do you call anyone "daddy"? Did you hear Harris call someone daddy on that podcast. Did you listen to her say nothing or are you just giving us the highlights of the partisan nonsense that informs your thinking?

Was her choice weirder than Trump's podcast interview with the chair sniffing dude? You seriously should consider who and what your candidate is before throwing any kind of stones at other people.  You grasp at straws trying to make Harris look bad while your candidate is losing his mind on live TV and spied on naked teens at beauty pageants.

She has probably never listened either but she heard them described that way so she's a confident expert.  Imagine the kitty grabber in chief's fan club being weird about a little locker room talk.

Additionally, her claims omit context about the significant role of the pandemic on both manufacturing job losses under Trump and subsequent increases under Mr. Biden.

In the final weeks before Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris has repeatedly taken aim at former President Donald Trump's record on manufacturing jobs.

Specifically, Harris says that during the Trump administration, the U.S. lost almost 200,000 manufacturing jobs — and that almost 800,000 "new" manufacturing jobs have been added since President Biden took office.

Federal data shows Harris often cites largely accurate figures, though she has occasionally overstated gains made during the Biden administration. Additionally, her claims omit context about the significant role of the pandemic on both manufacturing job losses under Trump and subsequent increases under Mr. Biden.

What data says about manufacturing under Trump

At a rally in Michigan in early October, Harris said, "America lost nearly 200,000 manufacturing jobs" when Trump was president. Harris also claimed "those losses started before the pandemic."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS, Harris' tally is largely correct; by the time Trump left office in January 2021, the U.S. had 178,000 fewer manufacturing jobs than when his presidency began.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign said the pre-pandemic losses referred to the decline of 48,000 manufacturing jobs from January 2019 and February 2020, which is reflected in BLS data.

However, the vice president's statements leave out some key context about Trump's record. By March 2020, the U.S. had seen a net gain of over 350,000 manufacturing job gains during Trump's term in office.

As the COVID-19 pandemic shut down parts of the economy in 2020, the U.S. shed 1.3 million manufacturing jobs between March and April of that year. The numbers began to trend upwards again in the months that followed but did not return to pre-pandemic levels by the time Trump left office in January 2021.

The data suggests that not all of these were "new" manufacturing jobs that were created since Mr. Biden took office, as some of the job gains were likely jobs returning after the economic fallout of the COVID era. There were roughly 137,000 additional manufacturing jobs in September 2024 compared to pre-pandemic levels in February 2020.

Harris attempts to be a skilled propagandist.

Of course these were "miscalculations" not lies.

Liz was voted out by her constituents. She is old news. Move on.

I'm not a radical feminist but I find nothing feminist with "call her daddy" . It's kind of opposite of feminism. Unless the "feminist" types who pledge their support for Hamas terrorist have decided this "calling daddy" is a new feminist value. Loool

I don't know what you are saying here, or what you are laughing at.

Thankfully we don't have many ads in Colorado because we're not a swing state.   But one I've seen a few times that is approved by Kamala is full of lies, such as Trump will implement a national abortion ban.

Makes you wonder about the values of folks who would vote for such a liar.

Is CBS a credible source? I don't think the former president would agree.

CBS is a Canadian broadcast company. As is in the US, the majority of news sources are left dominated.

However it offers information from a prespective without the influence of a direct stake in the election.

I would consider it a credible source. Has Trump said otherwise?

It's obvious you are not interested in discussing the article that evaluates Harris' inaccurate claims/statements.

(If Trump said them, they would be called lies).
