Didn't I say in another thread that Trump supporters would make his life as President miserable?
And so it begins.

I don't think it means that don't believe in Trump anymore, but they are starting feel the sting of reality and that they took seriously that security was maxed out. They also see that their "brothers and sisters in arms" are sitting in jail.
Smart move on their part to stay home.
Biden will indeed have to deal with the agenda of the far left progressives. They all endorsed him, and asked their supporters to vote for him and will call in favors.
He has indeed in his campaign made some concessions towards them in talking about taxing the rich more, loan forgiveness, and other parts of their agenda They've been quiet lately but there are signs according to Fox News that the "squad" as they insultingly childishly call them, is gathering together their forces. (The anti-Biden news on Fox.com is fierce with multiple stories against him and Democrats.)
Still at the end of the day he's a moderate and was elected by moderates. Kamala isn't part of the extremists left wing either, so doubtful any Democrats will try to get rid of Biden to get her in.
I really don't see Democrats going into self-destruct mode like the Republicans did, but I suppose it could happen.

Problem is, how are they going to get pass Nancy Pelosi? She's already spanked the squad, I don't see anyone who's going to risk her wrath!

They don't care about her. But I do think after all the turmoil in the Republican Party they are going to try to behave and not be adversarial at first and want to put forth an appears of unity. Right now the Biden priorities about covid, relief packages and immigration seem in line with theirs.

One thing I learned about politics is that it's about connections. She's been around for a long time, knows everyone and their secrets. She hasn't survived like McConnell without being able to gather her votes when she needs them. I think the squad will stay in their lane. They've learnt their lesson from the last time they tried to usurp her. She also has Biden, Schumer and Nadler in her pocket.
I think it's great about their enthusiasm and how they negotiate social media especially AOC. They have brilliant ideas for the future but Trump has scared the pants off them literally. 74 million votes is incredibly impressive.

The "squad" gave themselves that name. And the NY Times and others also call them by that name.

By some measures, she was considered the most liberal senator.

Literally?

Fair enough, it's a name they are stuck with and Fox News likes it and they don't mean it in the hip hop way as a group of people that support one another and have each other's back like family, but rather like a Fox News contributor as coined them "the four horses of he apocalypse". It's very important to portray them as lunatics, socialists, and people to be fears as they hate America and want to destroy America.
Kamala is certainly one of the more liberal Senators. Which made her a wise choice for Biden who is more moderate. There certainly speculation that she be the next President, but that extremists would oust Biden to get her in early doesn't sound right. Extremists would probably use Biden like they did Trump to get some of their agenda through and wait four years to keep either Biden or Harris. Biden has stated he wouldn't mind being a one-term president and getting her in. In my opinion. Time will tell.
I think the extreme left progressives in Congress got the message when Sanders was overtaken in the primaries by Biden that their party really wants to be one that's more moderate. The Republican extremists were emboldened by Trump overtaking the moderates in his Party, so it's not quite the same scenario. In my opinion.

Just wondering when republicans say that they only were with Trump for what he could give them, have they ever heard about making a deal with the devil and what his payments might be?
I see a fractured party whose representatives are terrified of them and have isolated themselves from the majority of the country, tarnished their reputations even internationally. He has severed practically almost all cred that America once had and HOW many people associated with him has been indicted, charged, convicted, jailed and still is in a sh**load of trouble?
What is really baffling to me is how willingly people are to accepting these crazy conspiracy theories and out right lies as truth. It's almost as though they're trying to live in an alternate reality. Fox News and Newsmax are no better than tabloids sold in the grocery store that just fabricate scenarios that are either pure fantasy or twisted truths. They follow Trump based off of "faith" not fact and that is very dangerous when it comes to politics. America is a democracy not an autocracy, monarchy, or theocracy. But conservative media encourages the idea that Trump is some kind of messiah or chosen by God and republicans eat that up because they've used religion to manipulate the members of their party for decades.
I live in the bible belt where separation of church and state is a joke compared to other parts of the country. I'm all for people practicing their religion, but keep it out of politics.
Just wondering if anyone just saw Biden's press appearance?
Now tell me if that isn't the way to conduct yourself and make people hopeful?
He certainly made me feel better! Joe is very good at this stuff and I am the first to admit that I was wrong. I really thought he's won, now keep him away from the news.
I feel so much more lighter and relaxed and I really thought I was too jaded to feel like that again.

There was an article I saw on social media and can't find it now that kind of mentioned the positive psychological effect that Biden's inauguration had on people. I didn't realize I was so tense in the days leading up to it. It really is such a relief to have Trump gone and someone acting Presidential.
However, I'm still jaded when I see Senator's like Rubio and Fox News poise themselves by saying "he talks about unity and immediately starts the radical left agenda" and our governor here having a contentious press conference with a CNN reporter that seemed to have been role modeled by his idol Trump.
But that's politics and I can handle that.
