The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.

Apply for a Scholarship Today!
Just an update for future applicants. There were around 6, 000 applicants 548 were chosen. There was an ouside source that reviewed applications and gave point values which determined who received the reward. It WAS NOT decided by a lottery. I can't say this will be true for future award years, but this is what was stated in the webcast we had.

Hey has anyone ran into this with their school?
I contacted my financial aid office and informed them that I am being awarded this scholarship. Financial aid informs me that they will now re-work my financial aid offer and include my stipend and that once they receive the tuition money from HRSA that I will end up owing 5k (this is for my private loan). According to the Financial Aid rep federal law states that once they know that I will be receiving ANY additional money (stipend, scholarship) that the school has to report it and take back funding. Apparently if school costs 30k per year and are awarded 30k in aid that you CANNOT be given any additional funding above and beyond that. So the financial aid rep tell me that I will just have to apply my retroctive stipend check to my tuition bill. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this....
P.S. No packet here yet.
