I was wondering if it is too early for me to jump on this bandwagon.... My application deadline is March 8th. After I take my physio final on Wednesday I will have completed all my pre-reqs. Only thing I'm lacking is taking my TEAS exam - which I am doing the 2nd week of January. Now, the way our school does admissions is assign a point value to your grades and then add on your raw TEAS score. They line you up and cut off the top 20-30 - depending on clinical space. I have all A's - but without taking that TEAS yet, I am starting to enter panic mode. And it has just hit me all of a sudden - I can't seem to get it out of my head...I am so afraid I won't get in after my last 2.5 years of hard work!
I just need to buckle up and pass my final for now - but I really can't seem to focus for this new found panic about getting in!!!!

So much for the renewed optimism...Found on the Maryland thread that people have already started to be notified about acceptance.I haven't heard anything, so not looking good.

Thanks guys!! :1luvu:
Just trying to do what I know you guys have always done. Focus on the positives..finished my last two finals today.
And the not-so-positives..go back to work full-time tomorrow. Won't have time in the next five days to be stressed or depressed. :chuckle

thanks jess and shannon!! :redpinkhe :loveya:
i just can't even bring myself to do the countdown anymore. i haven't slept in days. i just want this so badly, and i can't even think of what happens thursday.
this morning i went to school to try and get that transcript so i could fax it over asap. it's still missing a grade. i went and talked to the prof, and he said even though he knows i have an a, he couldn't put my grade in because he has to do everyone's at the same time, and he still had to calculate everyone else's.
so i called to see if i should get the incomplete transcript and a letter from the prof or just wait until the other is ready, and i talked to two of the admissions committee. although they were great as usual, nothing was said about acceptance. i'm still trying to remain as optimistic as possible, as those that know they got in applied for the accelerated program. maybe the final decision on traditional hasn't been made definite yet.
i swear i'm not always this crazy.:chair:
have i mentioned how grateful i am to all of you guys here. i know it's sort of okay to freak out here, because you are all going through or have gone through the same things. meanwhile, with friends and family, it's blank stares and/or "it's not that big a deal. you'll go somewhere else."
I get the same thing from my family... But it IS a BIG deal for us!! Only a couple more days till you find out, days are flying by now. Sending you hugs. I hope you can get some sleep. Try to rest and take a break. Go see a good movie or rent one to watch. Let us know as soon as you get news!
Hugs :icon_hug:
