  1. Hi, I have been revisiting the idea of going back to school but the options seem endless and overwhelming. Does anyone recommend (or not recommend) their PMHNP program? I am also torn on online vs. in person or a blended program. Any advice is really appreciated! Hope everyone is staying safe!
  2. I'm sooo nervous to take my chem final tomorrow. I am going to celebrate once that is over. Next semester I'm registered for the BNAT class, Pharamcology, Nutrition, Micro and Anat II. Oh yea, and Math 102 but I'm going to try to place out of it. I really don't want to take another math class! I just got an acceptance letter to an accelerated BSN program but I'm still going to wait and see if I get accepted into Oakton's nursing program. Good luck on finals everyone!!!
  3. I applied to an accelerated BSN program on November 15th and received my acceptance letter on December 10th! I'm soooo happy!
  4. Good luck on finals, everybody!!! I can't wait for this semester to be over! :chuckle
  5. I finally applied last Wednesday. I didn't realize that I still have to take the DRP reading? test. Did anyone take that test yet? The advisor also said that it's possible to place out of Math 102. I'm going to maybe take that test also. Anyone take that test?
  6. i'm taking the cna class and a bunch of other classes. math 102, micro, anat ii, etc...i work full time right now and am thinking that i won't be able to work at all next sem if i want to take all of the classes that i need... no more money here, either! it will also mean that i have to buy insurance since i need it for the cna class. is anyone applying to any other programs besides oakton's? did anyone apply yet? what's everyone taking in spring. registration starts next week. i need to take the cna class but it takes up your whole day! crazy! i'm going to have to start working part-time as well which is scary!! no more money! is it true we can't use a calculator on the nln test? i'm never going to get into the program then!
  7. Hey there, I'm glad I found this site. I am currently going to Oakton and taking pre-req's. I just attended the nursing information session this past Tuesday and learned a lot of things about the program that I did not know about. Stuff like 400-500 people apply but only 80 are accepted. Hearing this just made me nervous and a little discouraged. I'll be applying for fall of 2006 but have yet to complete a couple classes and take the NLN. Have either of you taken the NLN? I heard it wasn't too bad but I still need to start studying...
