  1. AZhiker-Thank you so much for all the help. I actually have that packet, I guess I just need to read it a little more! So don't apply until all pre-reqs are done. Got it. Thanks again!! Paula
  2. Can anyone walk me through the process of applying for the program? I contacted the woman I was suppossed to Maria, but she never responded. I was accepted into the school but have no idea how to apply for the nur program. Thanks!
  3. i'm taking bio 132 in the summer and also psych. :monkeydance: i should be studying for my muscle exam right now but wanted to take a little break! :monkeydance:
  4. Kathy-That is horrible but I believe it. OCC is really annoying me with their "selection" process. Koolaid is right, failing the NLN would have been better! So annoying! :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire
  5. koolaid-i totally agree with you. the process for the student selection seems horrible! i know people who did worse then me on the nln and got into the program??? why is that!!? as far as the high risk students..i had no idea they set aside that many spots. that's horrible. shouldn't someone like me who is on the waiting list and passed the nln get in? it is very frustrating i agree with you! best of luck on your letter! fingers crossed for some good news!!! let us know! just wanted to add that i think that is a good nln score and you shouldn't worry!
  6. :balloons: congrats dex. that's great news! :balloons: i didn't get in, i am wait-listed at number 10. i did above average on the nln and my gpa is fine, i guess there was something else they wanted that i didn't have! :angryfire good luck to all waiting to hear! z-see you in class tomorrow!
  7. Thank you so much for the info! Best of luck to you.
  8. Does anyone know what the wait list is like at this school? Thanks!
  9. you are not the only one. i started noticing it recently too! although, mine isn't really between by thighs, well maybe my lower thighs, it's kinda right around my knees, or a little higher. i know my scrub pants are too long for me and i'm always hiking them up but i'm not sure if that's the problem. if you do a search i find about 2 other topics where people discuss the chafing. i think it's mainly the material. i would love some nice pure cotton scrubs and not these damn poly/cotton blends! i just put some lotion(normal dry skin lotion) on when i get home and it'll sting for a couple minutes but then it feels better. it is annoying though! :angryfire
  10. i hated the nln and thought i bombed but when i went to have my scores looked at by the nursing dept they said, great you "cut the mustard" :rotfl: thought that was pretty funny!! but i guess you just look under your ad score under verbal at the right of the paper? they didn't even look at math or science. i got in the 80s so i'll take it! my pharmacology class is killing me!! i have no idea what is going on!
  11. does anyone know of a good website for bones? possibly even one that has some good flashcards? i'm doing the coloring book but always love a good flashcard!:chuckle :) thanks! nevermind, i just went to the first page of the thread and found some great resources. thanks to whoever put all that work in. you are great!!
  12. i love using flashcards. the whole point is that is forces you to sit down, read the information and then write it down. by all those steps are done, i've usually ingested some of the info i need. plus, they're so small that i bring them everywhere and study. waiting in line, study. waiting at lunch, study..waiting in doctor's office, study. it works for me. then again,we'll see how my first test score is! :chuckle
  13. i find the stuff we are doing now to be so boring and difficult! atp, epithelium, diffussion. i have my lab test next friday and am so scared. identifying the different epitheliums and what their functions are and where they're found? it's too much!! gotta go study! congrats to all who like they're class. right now, i just find it stressful!
  14. we're still on epithelium in lab and on diffusion and stuff in lecture. off to make flashcards! have i mentioned i'm scared? :)
  15. thanks. i went to the offices today and they said i past, scores look great. so, now the wait is on to see if i get in!:uhoh21: thanks for the help everyone!:)
