I've got roughly 3 months until I find out. I don't know what to do in the down time. I'm taking A&P and Chemistry this semester trying to get a head start on the program (ADN).

Check this thread--it should help you distract yourself while you wait:

Of course, if you think of new fun things to add to the list, that would be terrific!! (don't add biting your fingernails to the quick!!!)

I am totally stressing about this!! I applied for the late deadline, so I won't know anything until January around the 10th... I am nervous, but excited at the same time. Is that odd??
Yay! Glad you guys are interested!!:balloons:
Mi'Shelle, you know the same goes for you...I know you'll be getting that official letter or call any day now!!
prmenrs, thanks so much for the link--I need any distractions I can get!! (You would think having 8 or 9 tests, 7 of them finals, in the next 2 weeks would be enough! )
I'll definitely be saying prayers for everyone in this thread, especially Booner's Mom because her deadline is the closest.
As for me, I'll be finding out in 19 days..tick tock. repeat.
so how should we start this? random thoughts? info about ourselves? mad senseless rambles about how unfair this is and how we can't take this anymore?
I'm not giving up hope for the Spring, ya never know, but I will be retaking my Algebra starting 12/19. If all goes as planned, I'll apply with a 4.0 on all 30 credits (pre-reqs & all support classes) for Fall '06! :)
Now, as for how to start.....
and and and
That's awesome!!!! Hehe, remember the Romeo & Juliet told entirely in emoticons thread? I think what you just did in those 5 smiles expressed the last few months for me!! :bowingpur
anyways, I honestly don't doubt you'll be in. I hope they see in you what I know of you from the last few years on here..you're an amazing, selfless, brilliant woman.
and now i go back to take a nap, no doubt waking up every 5 minutes going "JHU PLLLLLLLEASE!!" like I do everynight...please tell me I'm not the only one who does this...:imbar
Ok, I'll let all my skeletons out!
I am 35 (yuck!), married 9 years (fantastic man!), have 2 boys (7 & 5) and if I have anymore I will surely go nuts! Right now there must be every neighborhood boy in my front yard!
I am currently doing mortgages. Luckily I am, I just refinanced my house and pulled out some mulla to pay for school and keep us semi-happy for the next two years. The last thing I wanted to think about during school is financial hardship! That is why I had to withdrawl out of the nursing program in 2002. I had to wait for a letter then too, but I got accepted a semester early, so everything happened so fast, I didn't have time to wait!
I also volunteer at a hospital and I really like it! My son hurt his knee today and asked me to fix it. It was only bruised, so I told him he would just have to wait it out. He said, "You're a volunteer, you can fix everybody!" That was so funny! They also thought I was a doctor! heehee
I am taking Micro which is the last of my non-nursing courses.
Other than that, I'm just sitting around going crazy! Not just about the NS acceptance letter, but those danged Christmas lights! I love to out-do my neighbors, so I put out tons of lights. So far, only half of them are working (of course they were working when I put them on!!!)! Sheesh!
Grandma has the boys tonight, so hubby and I are going out! Fun, fun!
I have found my niche to be pediatrics. I hope I love it as much in NS!
Well, gotta go party before I'm too old to want to (almost feeling it)!
Good luck to all!
