EEEEEKKKKKK! This is my first year not having to work Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, or both. I can't begin to describe how excited I am! Not having to stress about missing my kiddos opening gifts or having family schedule their dinners around my job....EEEKKKK!:)
Anywho, today is awards day and MAP testing, so I am hoping that will curb a lot of the visits. And then begins my break. Anniversary is tomorrow so the in-laws are keeping the kids tonight so we can be alone. I'm already pregnant, so what's the worst that could happen?
I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas and New Year!
*And for those who still have to work the holidays, I am truly sorry, much love!*

I'm super excited about the break too! I slipped out of hospital nursing a few years ago, but I "only" had Christmas off the past couple of years so I plan to enjoy these 2 weeks as much as possible!

I am the goose.
I'm working at my other job Tomorrow and Sunday, picked up Tuesday, Xmas day, NYE, and then the weekend before we come back.

I hate that you have to work. I picked up 4 hours on NYE, NYD, and the day after.
Yuck!! Here's to hoping the flu stays away!!

First year my wife and I both have to work the holiday. Next year is going to be brutal, already told the kids Christmas will not be the 25th next year. Thankful to be able to make this work, though, as I love school nursing. Have a wonderful, restful break, all.
Thank you- I wish I didn't have to either... Hopefully in a couple years I will have completed all my schooling and will be able to afford having only one job
Same here, not schooling but ya know...life. I can't wait for the day when I can say "Adios" to the hospital for good.
I'm torn on it. Once I'm certified and find a position as a certified school nurse, I keep thinking I'd want to stay on PRN. I like the idea that I can make a little extra money if I need to for unexpected expenses (ie: car repairs) or to make some quick money for a vacation
Holy cow!!! The amount of sweets you get....My desk is full of candy and cookies. YUM!
