Sorry that you are going thru this. There are actually many threads on this topic going on right now.
Just set up another test date when you feel that you are ready.
Were you doing questions on the computer before you took your exam?
If so, how many were you doing? I recommend at least 100 per day, and getting 3000 to 4000 done before taking the exam. And highly recommend the "green" Saunders.

- likely you won't lose your RN train of thought, knowing that is your goal.
I sincerely hope that you will progress toward success. Don't worry about the financial aspect. Just allow yourself the time needed to prepare for the next exam.

do you have any specific web sites or info on where to take practice exams? I haven't taken my test yet, (I grad in may) and I am going to take a review course, but I still worry about the exam. I've also heard that if you are taking the NCLEX and the questions seem too easy, it is a good chance that you aren't doing well, and you're falling below the passing standard. Is that true?

Mosby's has an excellent practice test online. You can use it as many times as necessary for 30 days. It will tell you what areas you need more study in as well.

Also I have heard good things about the National Council online review.

I'm sorry to hear that. One poor girl had it advertised in some publication at the hospital she worked at that she failed so everyone could see. I'm gald to hear that where you are you're allowed to tell your employer yourself that you failed.
The next time will be a charm! good luck! :balloons:

Thanks so, so much for this info - I feel better already. This is probably just what I need to work on my weaker points. I got tons of questions on delegation and prioritizing, so I know I need to focus on that. I'm working this weekend and didn't say a word to anyone about it last night, I'm still too humiliated. I'lll have all I can do to break the news to my supervisor during the week. But something occurred to me this morning in the shower (where I do some of my most enlightening thinking!), I successfully graduated from nursing school and still have a two year degree as an RN, so I'm not going to let a couple of hours at a state exam completely shatter my self esteem. I WILL do this, and I thank you all for your words of encouragement. That's why I love this board.
