I traditionally have a thread heading to the election, here we go.
Get out the popcorn for this one.
QuoteFlorida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to formally announce next week he is running for president in 2024, NBC News reported Thursday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The governor's official entry into the Republican primary field will put him head-to-head with former President Donald Trump, the party's current frontrunner for the nomination. Trump has already spent months treating DeSantis as his primary campaign rival, thrashing him with torrents of criticism over his gubernatorial record, his political skills and his personality.

Off to read the SCOTUS opinion.
Only the most partisan among us are surprised.

More bad polling for Biden.

Yep.
Remember when Clinton led in the polls in March of 2016?

No one is surprised.

This isn't a poll on who is going to win the election, however.
It's a poll that indicates most are happier with Trump's policies vs Biden's.
Because polls reflect people's feelings, not facts. Trump's policies killed more small businesses than any other president. His policies created chaos and animus in the midst of a pandemic. Trump's policies rolled back pay protection for workers and cut money and resources from the food safety net. Trump muzzled scientists at the EPA and then at the CDC as he epically mismanaged the pandemic.
Trump sure hopes that people don't talk facts about his record, his personal history or his current legal troubles as the weeks and months drag on toward the election, eh?

Wait. Your words:
"Will the SCOTUS have courage and interpret the constitution according to its plain language and intentions, or will they spin and twist to appease the mad king? :
It was 9-0. Are you saying the liberal justices caved and joined the conservatives in spinning and twisting to "appease the mad king"?

Sure. A worldwide pandemic and Democrats on the local level limiting commerce during that time had little to with that, I suppose.
the Biden track record of handling crisis suggests things would have gone better under his watch. LOL

Trump's inept marginal leadership had local communities and states fending for themselves during a pandemic. How quickly we forget Kushner telling the country that our national stockpile of life saving supplies and equipment wasn't for the states. The official website was changed to reflect that BS immediately after his press appearance. That's the crazy track record.
Biden, on the other hand, got millions of people vaccinated and promoted a unified public health message to the people based upon the scientific recommendations rather than petty politics.
What kind of delusion leads one to think that Trump performs better in a national crisis when the evidence says otherwise?

That's all a nice deflection from the fact that I pushed back on your assertion that Trump killed small businesses.
Anyway, I certainly forgot that stupid comment by Kushner. As I'm sure everyone else here did as well, because it didn't matter. That's your example of Trump's inept leadership?
Yes. Millions were vaccinated when Biden was president. Vaccines that were developed when Trump was in office. And how soon we forget Harris, Pelosi, and other Democrats and liberal media members said they'd never trust such a vaccine that was developed under a Trump administration.
I worked for a contractor doing vaccines for a good portion of 2021 and first few months of 2022, including 4 months in FL of all places. The FL Dept of Health, and other similar agencies in other locations where I went certainly were involved. Money cane from the federal govt obviously. But, how exactly did "Biden get millions vaccinated"?

Next they will decide that presidents are immune from prosecution for official acts and that congress must decide if January 6th and attempts to overthrow election results are official acts.
