The dreadful 265 NCLEX on 7/15. Pray for me!

Hey to all! I am truly living a nightmare because I took my NCLEX yesterday and had the 265 maximum questions! I feel so sad that I obviously didn't know as much as I thought. It is soo confusing because I am a good student. I just need advice on what the heck happened! I also passed school tests above average and I passed the HESI way over the 900 score they suggest you have before sitting for boards. I have done many many questions and I used about 4-5 review books all through school and in studying. I just don't know what went wrong. I live in NC which doesnt do the quick results but we can start checking in like 2-3 business days anyways! So starting next week I will check but I don't have a good feeling about this. I know, I know---stay positive but it is so hard when so much is on the line!

Hi, Cleigh

I too took the NCLEX-RN yesterday and my computer stopped at 192 and I also feel that I did not answer my last question right. I also found that no books or review have better prepared me for it. The questions were hard and they were mostly prioritization questions. Even the therapeutic approach I found hard. I left the center feeling good because finally the wait is over but yet 2 hours later it started to hit me and hit me hard. I'm wrong the wait is not yet over. Same like you CA don't participate in the Quick result thing and I am so anxious to know how I did. I've studied a lot too using different CD's and books and I even went to a review class and subscribed to NCSB learning ext but I did not find any of it helpful. The only thing we can do now is wait and hope that we made it. Please keep us updated......

Hi Cleigh!

I just took the NCLEX on Thursday (7-14) and I was lucky enough also to get the 265. It took me almost 5 hours and I left feeling that I most definitely did not pass. After so many questions everything becomes kind of vague!

Anyway, we have the quick results here in GA, so my husband was nice enough to check for me and I passed! Hang in there, things probably aren't as bad as you're thinking! Good Luck!

Good luck ya'll! I'm praying for you! Please let us know how you do!:)

I also had 265 questions almost 5 weeks ago and have yet to hear from the CA BRN since my school just sent in the transcripts early this week. Hang in there ... there are many, many people who passed with 265. Think good thoughts and I'll think some for you as well. Let us know how you did!

I know several people who got all 265 and passed. It just means that you were real closeto passing anf it took the computer longer to decide. As far as not feeling good about it, I can say noone I have talked to personally felt good the test afterward. I have not read anybody's post on here who felt good after either. I had 75 questions and honestly felt like I failed the test, too. Hang in there! good luck

:crying2: I am in the same boat! I took boards in Alabama on 7/15. I kept looking at the screen praying it would cut off soon but it didnt. I went all the way. I have this overwhelming sense of doom. I guess I will just have to wait my couple of weeks to find out. :o

Hang in there everyone and keep us posted. Keep your heads up and tell yourself that no matter what the outcome you gave it your best and if it wasn't good enough this time then it will be next time. I'm sure all of you passed!!!!

Keep us updated :)

Let me start by saying that I recieved my RN license and multiple job offers last week. With that said, I too recieved 265 questions on the NCLEX. I too scored over 900 on my HESI. I took the test with a friend of mine and he was done WAY before I was. We took the test on 7/8 (friday) and my friends results were on our BON Saturday morning, but mine weren't. Further, I had a nasty habit of crash & burning on the last 10 questions of every study test I took! I WAS SURE I HAD FAILED!!! Please remember that 265 doesn't mean anything more (or less) than 75 question on the NCLEX. I understand what you're going through right now, the things your mind is going over, and how incredibly hard it is to be positive. Just know that most everyone I'm seeing who got 265 questions passed the test and I HIGHLY doubt you're an exception to that trend.

I feel so sad that I obviously didn't know as much as I thought. I just don't know what went wrong.

Hey, getting 265 questions doesn't mean you don't know enough, and it doesn't necessarily mean anything went wrong. Don't put yourself down! :)

I too got 265 and it took me over 5 hours to finish. I felt exactly the same as you, but I passed

Easy for me to say now, I know, but don't despair, I'm sure you did just fine.

Good luck :)

Cleigh, I'm sure you did just fine! I really hope you can find out soon. But until then, just try to enjoy the fact that it's OVER!! You're done with it :) Try to hang in there and keep your chin up, you did fine!

Well. I am still waiting for my score. THe dreadful outcome of the dreadful 265 may be over today. In NC we usually will find out on Tuesday or Friday. I tested last Friday so hopefully today I will find out. The bad part is that if you don't pass you just wait for that letter in the mail. Please keep praying for me. I really do hope my name is listed but I still highly doubt it. I woke up last night just remembering questions I had and couldn't figure out why I answered them the way I did. Oh well, thanks to everyone with all the positive comments and good luck to everyone and anyone waiting----especially the "265" people because I swear that wait is the worst. I will post as soon as I find out, hopefully today.
