Are you wearing your pink today?
You know I am.
It's a Catholic thing. At some point during the Catholic mass you stand and shake ands with your neighbors and say "Peace be with you" and they respond "And also with you"
Thanks for explaining. Orthodox Jew here. I was thinking it was a Star Wars thing...
Bear with me...
It kind of reminds me of a tradition in our community. Each month a prayer is said on the moon prior to the full moon. After the prayer, each person goes to three others and says ×©×œ×•× ×¢×œ×™×›×/Shalom Aleikhem/peace be upon you. The response is ×•×¢×œ×™×›× ×©×œ×•×/vealeikhem shalom/and on you peace.
I know it's far FETCHed...
And now we're back on topic.
Oops! I meant the Communion wafer is the Catholic thing. At least I think it's only Catholic? I don't think I've ever been to another kind of church
I grew up in the Methodist church, sometimes we had bread, sometimes a wafer. I went to a local Catholic service and they had bread, they had real wine too. Methodist had grape juice.
