Alabama. My former SIL would take her family there. She said it is always less crowded than the big beaches (for example, we went to myrtle beach last year). I mapped it out this morning- 12-14 hours from Chicagoland. So maybe we could do a night or 2 in Memphis and then do the beach... Just brainstorming right not, but it's 7 degrees out and I'm craving the sand!

A friends husband was just travelling/working in Memphis, said it was a really scary place to be, even on Music Row or whatever the main drag is...bummer, that has been on my my bucket list.
