I wanted to let you all know that miracle of miracles I passes the NCLEX. I kept cking our BON site all day every 15 min and it was funny I've spent alot of time on this NCLEX forum reading all your wonderful posts, venting, giving feedback and recieving it and finally winding down after taking the test yesterday. I decided that I would look into Suzanne's plan and I had just read her first tip. I was feeling upbeat for the first time since I took the test yesterday. Then one last look on website to see (they said it would be two weeks) and there my name was. Don't laugh I even called to make sure. The guy luckily laughed. I honestly thought I failed.
I just want to say a huge thank-you to this web site because it is bad enough to have to be in limbo but at least here you can talk and share and know you are not alone.
This was the happiest moment I have had except for the birth of my son.
Good thoughts to all

Thanks Babe 35!
Right after I graduated Dec. 16th I signed up for the NCBN course as it was recomended to me by an RN where I work. She told me that there were a couple people in her class that failed the first time and they used that the second time and passed. I have to say at first i was not to impressed with it. The study material is presented in outline form and it took me a while to self discipline my self to follow along. I thought the questions were good though. Good rational and it is my opinion that they were similar to the nclex. They have 2 banks of alternitive questions. I would recomend signing up for the 8 weeks. I only signed up for 5 and then signed up again for 3 weeks. This class isn't as expensive as alot of them. So there are not alot of bells and whistles. You can go to the NCBN site and read the syllabus for the course. I answered all the questions in the question bank, took all post tests, some twice and the pre test once when I started and then again near the end. I skipped around alot and taylored it to what I needed. I also had a giant book called Practice questions for the NCLEX-RN by Donna Gauwitz put out by Delmar. Mostly I did the med calculations in this book and I made myself use the computer calculator which gets you used to it if you aren't. I also started work right away on Jan 6th after the holidays. Maybe that helped maybe not. One thing for sure I know it was worth it to prepare esp. doing the practice questions. if I had failed I fully intended on doing Suzzanne's plan. it looked good to me. Sorry so long a post. I hope you find out soon. I know it's hard to stay positive, I was wavering, got my atitude back on a positive note (thanks to supportive family and this web site) then found out I passed.
Thanks again!!!

What can you recommend for the last 3 weeks preparation towards NCLEX exam?...i am really anxious!
Dear worrier,
Thanks!!!
Keep answering questions everyday. The way I study I don't go for more then 1 hour sometimes two. I also look up every word I don't know the meaning of. I used the NCBN course because they included the Tabors medical dictionary bundled with the course so I just had to click on Tabers when I needed reference instead of having to go look stuff up in my Mosbey's dictionary. I also went back to my pharm book and went over the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems and how they react to drugs. This really helped esp. with antcholoregeic drugs. No matter what you will be nervous and after the test is the worst. I wish you good luck. Check out the study tips and resources other have used on this discussion board. Use the most recent study materials you can afford. Also know your infection control precautions; airbourne, droplet etc.
