This has been the longest week ever!!! I need Thanksgiving Break. Just heard the announcement "Please release Mr.__________________ 5th period class to the cafeteria. You guessed it, field trip I knew nothing about. And at this late hour, his problem and not mine!!!
And passes - I swear I want to kill these teachers. How hard is it to fill out a darn pass?? Especially when we are doing tardy freezes randomly this week.
Or they can complete a pass with every single box checked under symptoms with a diagnosis and treatment plan written and don't forget the frowny face!!! However, they cannot write the kid's name ant what time they left class.
So far September has been very busy, I have also done immunization audits, had to send out 3 exclusion letters, with one parent acting butt hurt that he didn't like how it was worded. Really? Well, tell it to the District Office. Someone up there wrote it.
I have been sending letters, emails, making phone calls since last MAY to incoming K parents about this. Yet this K parent feigns ignorance. Funny though, he had the info I needed in hand after he met with my Principal to whine about what big meanies we are. Exclusion letter worked.
Cafe serves slushy's off/on and the boys decided to stick their finger in the frozen slushy for over 15 minutes. This kid ended up with frostbite. Painful lesson to learn.

A spot became available at one of our high schools, so I jumped right on that one. Couldn't get out of the elementary school I was assigned to fast enough! Not an appropriate placement for an LVN at all. So, I've been here 4 days and have had 2 911 calls already. Still glad I'm here though. Have a great weekend, everyone.

55 minutes until I blow this pop stand. Today was a helluva day! Tons of kids in and a cafeteria worker got a cut from the tin foil dispenser that required stitches.
I will bust outta here, go grocery shopping, go running, and then have a date with my couch and Netflix (that my cat is likely to crash)

I ran the last 3 nights. It's really helping my stress.
We had our pep rally today I had NO visitors!!! Love spirit week!
