Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

Sorry, just noticed you said 4.0... I would be calling them and asking why you didn't at least get wait listed...

Who could I talk to? I feel like everytime I call the nursing dept theyre in a rush to hang up the phone.

Did you get an email from Heather Close at all? I would email her. She seems to have the best information. Or look on the website and contact one of the advisors listed on there.

Yes i got a rejection letter..

Sure, my overall GPA was 3.6

My TEAS score was 84%

No previous bachelors

Houston

Did you have the TWU bump?

Vpatino, You should call them. Your GPA is higher than mine but my teas is 1 point higher than yours. I guess even if my scores were better you can get some of your questions answered. And sedavis, your GPA and teas are lower but you got waitlisted...do you have a prior bachelors or TWU bump? Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense to me how a 4.0 GPA got rejected. I'm not trying to discredit anyone I just don't get how that happened unless you had some type of bump!!! Anyways, we should hopefully know more next week.

No I do not have a bachelors or a bump. My only thought is something didn't get done with nursingcas for her...?? Transcripts weren't received or something like that. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

And i don't feel discredited. I am married with 2 teenagers and a baby. I'm proud of how well I did with everything I have going on in my life.

Everything went through on my application though.. i called before the application due date and they said they received my teas test scores. I just called right now and again they weren't very helpful.. they said they wont be able to give me more information until after the 1st.

Yeah, apparently the last day for the accepted to accept is today, so we probably won't get an email until sometime next week :/ . Hopefully, there are a lot of slackers who just didn't accept lol.

There are other documents that must be sent to confirm acceptance. The deadline is April 10th. Patience! (Not easy, I know.)
